I ordered this kit after speaking to my brother who purchased a D40 a year ago. He is very happy with the D40 but being a big brother and wanting more I decided to go for the D60. I am glad I did. The D60 takes better photographs than any of my 35mm cameras. If you do not like the photographs just delete. After speaking with my brother about cameras, he suggested to purchase at Amazon.com. He said he saved alot of money purchasing his camera there. I checked all camera stores for the D60 and found I saved over $200 on just the camera and lens alone. All the accessories were free. What a deal and a fantastic camera.

The Nikon D60 DSLR is exceptional for its mechanical integrity, internal software programs that allow an amazing array of image manipulation, and, of course, legendary Nikon optics for all choices of lenses [the 18-55 mm and 55-200 mm telephoto lenses produce extremely sharp images]. I chose the D60 for the previous reasons and for its image size of 10.2 megapixels, which will support a print size of at least 13x19 inches with great clarity, assuming an appropriate paper choice (I use several Hahnemuhle papers). Since I use Adobe Photoshop for all additional image control, I had no need for a camera with more image control functions than the D60, a fabulous camera for a serious amateur or semi-professional photography fanatic.

Camera is excellent for price paid (5 stars) and other goodies in kit are good (4 stars) except I would hold out for a better camera bag (3 stars). Although it's sturdy, it really doesn't hold the camera and lens in a good position for quick access. I'd rather buy a higher quality bag for vacations and road trips. By the way, I give Ace Digital Photo an A+ for quick delivery and the product matching what's in the picture. Camera was priced so low we worried it might be gray market but called them and they said it had a USA warranty. Upon delivery their word was kept.

This kit has everything one could need shy of some filters and a macro lens. I couldn't be happier with this and a great price too.
