At first I was afraid to attempt changing lenses on my Nikon D50. I have had one Nikon or another since '74 and I can change any manual/automatic 35mm lens. But I put off trying this out for several days. I was pleasantly surprised that it was so easy! Leave it to Nikon to deliver such a great product. I have found the longer length zoom to be as wonderful up close as it is at a distance... Great for portraits! Refurbished by Nikon is as good as new - I will always buy Nikon genuine lenses.

I previously had a 18-55mm that came with the D40 kit. I bought this as an extension. No regrets. Great buy.

We are getting excellent results with this lens; great photo shots. highly recommended

(note that the refurbished lens does not come with bag or sun shade attachment as shown in the photo).
