Product Description

From the Manufacturer

Nikon's Buckmasters Laser800 provides hunters and shooters with a monocular-type range finder that offers high quality optics in a small, lightweight package. The Laser800 utilizes eight power multicoated optics for superior target discretion and identification along with bright, accurate targeting out to its maximum range of 800 yards.

The Nikon Buckmasters Laser800 has four modes of operation, controlled by an ergonomically positioned "mode" button on top of the unit. The four modes include: RAIN (for use in rainy conditions), REFLECTIVE (for use on highly reflective targets, such as lakes, ponds or flooded fields), UNDER 150 (to rule out readings under 150 yards, of particular use when ranging a target in an opening, from cover) and NORMAL.

To use the range finder, press and hold the red "power" button. This illuminates the reticle in the viewing field and fires the eye-safe laser. Within one second, a bold numerical readout of the distance (in yards) is displayed in the viewing field.

The Laser 800 also incoporates a newly developed SCAN mode, in which moving targets can be ranged, by simply placing the reticle on them and holding the power button down. Additionally, the button can be held down and the reticle moved from target to target and the range will quickly appear, without having to re-fire the laser.

With a 4.5 degree real angle of view (resulting in a 36 degree apparent angle of view) and a 236-foot field of view at 1,000 yards, the Laser800 allows users to survey large areas quickly. The range finder is O-ring sealed, allowing use in virtually any weather conditions.

Of monocular design, the Nikon Buckmasters Laser800 is just 5.0" x 3.75" x 1.75" and weighs only 14.5 ounces. It is matte black in color and utilizes an innovative, tactile rubber finish for quietness, added impact resistance and a sure grip, even when wet
