This review is from: Nikon - Prostaff Spotting Scope (Electronics)
Just a heads up. I bought this on sale at a local (Big Name) sporting goods (hunting fishing) here in Portland OR.
I looked at the "cheaper" scopes ($100-$200 range). Honestly - at $549 I'd never consider this anytime soon. But after being at the TVGC on the 200 - 300 yrd range - and looking through the "cheaper" scopes at 200 yrds - no way would I waste my money there. This baby will pick up 4 hikers 1.5 miles away. True - low light (dusk)at 60X does shade a bit. But I bought this for target (rifle) shooting out to 600 yrds. It does extremely well at 200-300 yards. Here's the kicker. $310.00.
30 day return policy. New and in the box. Has a nice cover (neoprene)that you can actually leave on when using. No stand however. But I've a good tripod from photography days.

Shop around. They want to sell these at Amazon - the price should be at least $200.00 less than the best advertised here.
Cheers!
