I thought this was a vertical top loading case. Instead it is a horizontal top loading case. I was kind of upset at first, but I actually like this even better. Please see the photos I added. The photos on Nikon's own site are wrong also.
The only reason I didn't give it the top rating is because there is no pocket for storing an extra memory card or battery. The leather is soft and offers good protection.

I bought this for the P6000 and use it for the P6000. It is made of genuine leather. The camera fits in just right, although due to the P6000's slightly non-rectangular shape, there are some gaps between the walls and the camera. That's fine however, the reason it loses a star is because when one wants to take the camera out, there is the possibility of hitting the on/off button on the camera. Not everyone would encounter this problem, but I've done it a few times.

This item was suggested to go with the Nikon CoolPix... but it shouldn't be. The camera is far to this to go well in this camera case. It's a nice, leather case, but it's just not what I wanted.
