Not as advertised, but Better!
I thought this was a vertical top loading case. Instead it is a horizontal top loading case. I was kind of upset at first, but I actually like this even better. Please see the photos I added. The photos on Nikon's own site are wrong also. The only reason I didn't give it the top rating is because there is no pocket for storing an extra memory card or...

Should not be recommended for Nikon Coolpix.
This item was suggested to go with the Nikon CoolPix... but it shouldn't be. The camera is far to this to go well in this camera case. It's a nice, leather case, but it's just not what I wanted.

The only reason I didn't give it the top rating is because there is no pocket for storing an extra memory card or battery. The leather is soft and offers good protection.

I bought this for the P6000 and use it for the P6000. It is made of genuine leather. The camera fits in just right, although due to the P6000's slightly non-rectangular shape, there are some gaps between the walls and the camera. That's fine however, the reason it loses a star is because when one wants to take the camera out, there is the possibility of hitting the on/off button on the camera. Not everyone would encounter this problem, but I've done it a few times.
