This is an necessary product for protecting your LCD screen. However, you should know that it, unlike the screen itself, scratches very easily. If you clean it with lens tissue and cleaner, it will scratch this cover; that is not the case with the screen.

This item is often out of stock, and I was delighted to find them here.
Just what I wanted, and just the usual price. Shipment was prompt.

Although this came with my new D300, things happen. I had the original for around 16 months before mine got a crack that was substantial to warrant replacing. Thankfully it was this plastic LCD protector that took the mpact and not the LCD itself. When I think of all the scratches and dings this protector endured, I hate to imagine not having had the protector and seeing all these scratches on my actual LCD. If I didn't have it, just imagine how those permanent marks on my D300's LCD would lower my eventual resale price when I sell this! So just having this is an investment in preserving some sense of resale value in a commodity (DSLR) that depreciates rather quickly. But the bottom line is, I don't want to damage my camera body either as a result of an accident or normal wear and tear. This LCD protector does a great job of protecting the LCD! I love having it! 5 stars!

Excellent product. I ordered it to replace a lost one on my Nikon d300. It is still clear to see the pictures in the lcd while protecting it.

Works great! Although dust and scratches are very obvious on this thing, but better this than the screen! So I am perfectly okay with that! :)

This is exactly like one that came with camera. My original eventually got pretty scratched up, but this replaced. it.

This monitor cover shipped with my D300, and I find is just as necessary as a UV filter on my lens. The cover is very clear, has not gotten any scratches yet, and does not come off unless you want it to. If I ever loose or break the cover I have, I will certainly buy a similar one again.

Please do not forget to buy one spare when you buy your Nikon Camera. IT is good to have spare one in the bag. It is light, cheap.

THIS IS A MUST HAVE ITEM AS A BACK UP TO PROTECT YOUR NIKON D300 SCREEN

Its the OEM cover. Works well. Wish there was a little rubber edge to it to keep dust from sneaking under and between this and the glass.
