I bought this camera in a rush b/c I needed something for an impromptu trip. The pictures came out beautiful. I didn't know when I bought it that it didn't have sound on the video. (Not sure what Nikon's logic is for that). Had I known, I would have purchased something else. I do not recommend this camera b/c there are plenty of other good cameras out there in the same price range with sound. I paid $125 at Target and I think this model may only be available at Target. Look around, you can definitely find something better

Ive had this camera for 2 years with no problems. I keep it in my purse so that it is always with me. I know that the video has no sound, but its a camera. It takes great pictures and I would buy it again.

We have had this camera for a year. Picture quality was sub-par, but we liked the portability and price so we stuck with it. Recently had a "lens error" message which made the camera unusable. After checking for solutions, found many people have the same problem. I would not purchase this camera if I had to do it over again.

We have 2 of these cameras (my wife and son got them for Christmas at the same time)they have both died with exactly the same problem...."LENS ERROR".... if you are considering this camera, do yourself a favor and search Nikon lens error and see what I mean. What a piece of junk!!!! Nikon does not warranty this fault. They call it a "usage error".

I got this camera as apresent for my 13th birth day. It is a very good camera with quality pictures.It's very light, not sophisticated to deal with it might be missing some things like not being able to edit videos on it... But all in all it's a great camera

Chose this camara for small size and large display. Takes beautiful pictures. Just caught my daughter doing something cure on the video and found (after hours scouring the manual & online) that there is no audio. I also wish I had found this out sooner and could have returned it. My mistake for making the assumption that - if it records videos and has an AV/Adaptor - it will have sound.

We had this camera for 2 months before it gave a "lens error" message that will not go away. It will not take pictures, and the lens will not retract or move. It whirs and clicks and moves a little, but then stops and gives the error message. It was never dropped, jostled, or abused in any way. Naturally, this problem is not covered under warranty, and to repair it will almost as much as it cost to purchase.

I did an internet search of this problem, and it seems to be VERY common with this camera and with other Nikon cameras. I will not buy another Nikon again.

I got my Coolpix S202 last Christmas as a gift. So far it has been a great camera. Takes really great pictures and fairly easy to use. I have just a few issues though. First I wish there was a better battery meter. The camera does not warn that the battery is low until you are down to the last dozen pics. A battery level gauge would be nice. Also it would be nice to be able to recharge the battery via USB cable for times when a 120 volt outlet is not available or for times when I don't want to carry (or forget) the AC charger. Other than these two issues a very good entry-level digital camera.

This camera cost me $100 at Target. The pictures it takes aren't bad, but if you use the flash the pictures will make objects/people look a little white because of the reflection. I bought this camera to record videos and take some quick pictures but turns out that the videos it records DON'T!!! have sound. This camera records videos without audio, I don't see the logic in that. You can find a better camera for the same price or lower. The box/description doesn't sat anything about the camera not having sound in videos, you are better off using your phone camera.

why?, because it does not record sound with the videos.
Videos are otherwise very good (30fps) but NO sound. For us
that's a show stopper, so back it goes....
This is not something you'll find prominently on the outside of the box either. You have to go to page 55 in the manual before you find that out.
