Designed to do what other crossbow scopes cannot, the Bolt XR is outfitted with 3x Nikon optics that transmit up to 92 percent of available light, ensuring maximum brightness and contrast as you're sizing up game. Nikon also coats the lens with multiple layers of anti-reflective compounds, giving you superior edge-to-edge clarity. Best of all, the scope's advanced BDC 60 reticle offers precise aiming points out to a very achievable 60 yards (based on a velocity of approximately 305 fps). Other construction details include a large ocular that makes full use of its field of view, 3.4 inches of eye relief, and a quick-focus eyepiece with +/- 4 diopter adjustment.

The Bolt XR also includes zero-reset turrets that allow you to sight in at 20 yards, then lift the spring-loaded adjustment knob, rotate to your "zero," and re-engage. Field adjustments are now as simple as dialing in your subsequent ranges. Waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof, the Bolt XR matches virtually any crossbow velocity and bolt weight using spot-on Ballistic Match Technology.

Got this scope for my fathers Excalibur Phoenix Crossbow last fall. The Scope is perfect for that crossbow took us about 10 minutes and we had it sighted in for 20 yards. Moved the target to 30, 40, 50, and then 60 the arrow hit with in 1" of aim at all of the set distances. The multiple aim points makes hold over much easier allowing you to accurately shoot from 20-60 yards with little effort. I would high recommend this scope over a multidot red dot.

When i bought my Carbon Express SLS X-bow i had problems with 2 scopes(in the store) it came with, so i knew the scopes were low quality. When i put this NIKON on i couldn't believe the clarity! The BDC matches my x-bows yardages well. I think this is the best thing i could have done to upgrade my SLS. I would recommend this to anyone looking for quality optics for their x-bow. A friend of mine is getting one for his 10 point x-bow. I have 4 NIKON scopes on my guns and this is the same quality(light transmission and clarity)that i've come to rely on from NIKON.

I have a parker enforcer which is a great crossbow too. The bdc marks are not exactly 30,40, 50, 60. They are 28, 37, 48, and 55 for my bow, bolt, and tip combination. So once you know your yardages you are good to go. Nikons spot on software is very close too, although you need to know the actual speed of your arrow, not what the box says.

Man, this scope is awesome. Crystal clear, draws in a lot of light. Recommend Weaver low profile scope rings. Did not take many shots to zero in the target. An acorn imbedded in foam target at 25 yards was destroyed.......

Update: Using the Nikon spot on program, I was able to harvest 6 deer and 1 turkey last season. The farthest shot was 72 yards. I was confident with the shot due to the scope. Perfect shot, right in the bread basket.

I have Nikon BDC scopes on my rifles, 50 cal muzzle loader and now my Crossbow. The optics are crystal clear and is excellent in low light conditions. Using the Nikon Spot On program from the Nikon website let's me know exactly where to aim.
To get your a points you must chronograph your Crossbow using the arrows you use for hunting. My Crossbow shoots 373 fps. Using the spot on program told me my aim points are 20,33,53,66 and 77. I have been able to shoot up to 70 yards. Every aim point was dead on. I was shooting dime size spots to 53 yards and quarter size spots to 70 yards.
I will never buy any other scope.
Nikon scopes are the best. They are fog and water proof. Hunting in Florida, fogging of scopes is part of hunting. Not with the Nikon BDC scopes.
Try this scope, I'm sure you'll love it!

One of best crossbow scopes period. I have other Nikon scopes and they all perform in a superior fashion. Also, their pretty tough as well.

Bought this to replace the Tenpoint 3x Proview 2 Illuminated scope that was included with my GT Flex crossbow package, for several reasons...

1. It's a Nikon. For those that know what this means, I've already said it all. Even their bottom of the line stuff is top notch for the $$. I would call this scope middle of the road as far as Nikon goes.

2. This scope's BDC is calibrated for a 305 fps arrow, which is what my Tenpoint GT Flex pushes it's minimum weight 350 (actually about 380 for me) grain arrows. The Tenpoint scope included with the package is calibrated more around the 350 fps mark. That makes the Nikon scope appropriate for x-bows like the Excalibur Phoenix/Axiom or Tenpoint GT Flex shooting lighter weight 350 grain arrows, OR faster bows throwing heavier arrows (400-500gr) around 305. Nikon also has ranging data available on their website in the case that your arrow is much faster/slower than 305 fps, but still I'd rather match my equipment. Be careful using minimum weight arrows... you are approaching dry-fire physics. Dampening systems highly recommended for this.

3. It is simply and obviously a higher quality scope than any Tenpoint optic I have experienced to date, which includes their 3-dot 1x scope, and the included Pro View 2. I'm convinced it's in the glass, and maybe Koreans are a little better with scopes than Chinese, but that's just a guess. In defense of Tenpoint, this scope currently retails for about $30 more without rings, so there is a slight drawback.

All in all this is an excellent xbow scope, worthy of the Nikon name, and IMO for my purpose the best X-bow scope made for the $$. There are a FEW minor disappointments, resulting in the 4-star rating.
