One of the best purchases I've ever made,

I had been wanting to buy a decent camera for a long time, getting tired of my point and shoot ones. The pictures never really came out the way I wanted them. But this D40 is magical. It is so hard to get a picture wrong with this one. It is simply amazing. I chose this over D60 which was slightly more expensive. Although, I sometimes wish that I had more Megapixels as sometimes I just like to cut out my profile shot from a landscape picture when I ask someone else to take my picture. But if the person taking the shot knows what he wants to get, this probably will never be a problem. I am very happy with this camera. Highly recommended!

I'm still learning the camera, so I cannot offer a technical review just yet but I am very pleased so far. Camera bag seemed a little big when I first saw it but since I bought a 2nd lens, I need the room. I'm able to store my video camera in it, as well.
