This is my first dslr camera. I purchased this because I have owned Nikon products for many years. Most of my lenses can be used with this camera in manual mode. The Nikon autofocus lenses I purchased work great and picture quality is wonderful. The is still a lot to learn about this camera as it does just about anything you could ask, 3 frames per second, bracketing of shots, multi weighted view finder and much more. Having switched from film to digital was the best thing I have done for myself. I can now take as many photos as I want and not have to worry about the expense of processing the film. If I like some digital photos all I have to do is send the images to my local store to make hard copies. The memory card will hold about 550 images at the finest and largest setting on a 2gb compact disk. I would recommend this camera and Nikon to anyone looking for a new camera.

Replacing my Nikon film type N6006 with this digital was the best trhing I did this year. Coupled with a 2 day Nikon School workshop it has brought a new and higher level of skill and enjoyment to my hobby.
