The Nikon D3000 is a great package for beginning Single Lens Reflex. The picture clarity and detail is fabulous. Don't forget an extra battery it's a must for serious all day pics.

This is the second Nikon digital SLR camera I have bought from Cameta Camera through Amazon. Delivery is prompt and the merchandise is as advertised. First off let me start by saying that I am no expert in cameras. So my opinion is strctly based off of the "average consumer". Having said that, this camera is awesome. I previously had a basic $200 digital camera, which was fine, but my wife wanted to start taking more high quality pics of the kids, etc. My sister in law has this camera and after a visit with them and saw what it can do, my wife fell in love with it. The quality of the pictures is amazing. Based on other reviews and advice from others who have similar cameras, I went ahead and spent the extra money and bought the package deal which included the long range lens, camera bag, memory card, etc. I think the extended lens in $200 by itself so it's a better deal to buy the package. I would definitely suggest this camera to anyone looking into SLR camera

I searched the web and many stores for what the best price would be on each item seperately.. This is by far the BEST deal out there. Getting the camera and a lense is a huge expense on its own, but for not much more money you get an extra lens and spare battery along with carrying case and all the tools you need to take HIGH quality photographs and maintenance your camera.

This camera is a great one for beginners and experienced photographers as well. Has basic manual controls and automatic settings are some of the best out there. Great product.

I do recommend purchasing Tiffen 58mm UV Protection Filter for every lens you have, as any scratch is permanent and VERY expensive to fix.

Overall, this kit is wonderful! Have had mine for over a year, used the camera and basic lenses for photography and photojournalism purposes in University classes and it worked wonderfully!

We have been very happy with this camera. No complaints. I'm still trying to figure everything out. cameta camera - seller- was fantastic. Everything was as stated and arrived quickly.

This camera is a great purchase for a beginner like myself. The battery life is good and with my purchase I received a spare battery so its enough for pictures all day long. The quality of the pictures is exceptional. My only regret or peeve with this product is the lack of a live view on the LCD but never the less I get great pics using the view finder. I haven't read the manual but the operation of the camera is pretty easy. Love taking pictures with the camera, one can easily become addicted to taking pics with a SLR like the Nikon D3000. I have to get myself a wide view lense now to complete my kit.
