DO NOT BUY
on July 24, 2013
I received this Nikon D5100 for Christmas from my wife. It cost her about $800 in a bundle package. The bundle package included a lens that is not suitable for my needs. Most pictures I took were blurry, a few were clear, but overall pretty bad. My cell phone takes better pictures. So, I called Nikon for advice. They suggested two lenses. The Nikkor 18-55mm and the Nikkor 35mm. So, I bought them both. I spent another $400. I tried both new lenses yesterday. Very simple shots, on auto, nice day. The results were TERRIBLE. Blurry pictures, a few were randomly clear, but most out of focus. I do not have time to write reviews, but felt it was crucial here. I spent nearly $1,200 on Nikon products and they are TERRIBLE. Total waste of money. I will go back to using my Canon. Again, do not buy Nikon.
