I have been telling people that this was one of the best products that I have bought in the past year (that including iPod, iPhone, Sony television,...) In term of value, it has few peers. It charges reasonably fast. It is portable, no power cord, making it so easy to keep one in your camera bag. You also get a connector that allows you to charge in your car too. How cool is that. It is what all chargers should be but not. All of that at bargain price!!

I bought this product because I wanted an inexpensive second charger, that also did not have a power cord to deal with. At $14, this charger is a great bargain. It has indicator lights to tell you that the product is charging (red light), and when it is done (green light). Charges quickly and fully. Took me 2 hours to fully charge my EN-EL3a but your results will vary depending on how much charging you need. Although I do not use it, you get a cord that allows you to charge in your car too. Not only does Nikon not make an equivalent product - ie a travel charger that plugs into the wall - but if they did, I am reasonably certain they would charge a lot more for it. Keep one in your bag. You won't regret it.

I don't know why Nikon doesn't make this standard when you buy its cameras, instead of using the wall plug-in with wires that get tangled, etc. If you need your camera battery charged, then get this. It is small and portable with no wires attached. My only regret is not buying this sooner for my D90!

My husband and I recently moved and it wasn't until AFTER they boxed our entire house that I realized I forgot to keep out my camera charger! Needless to say, I can't go long without one, so I looked and found one on Amazon. It works perfectly and will forever stay in my camera bag so this mix up won't happen again!

Always skeptical of non-Nikon chargers but this had some tempting features. The folding outlet plug gets rid of the cord clutter and the car adapter allows for charging on the go that the Nikon charger can't do. Charge time is about right for the 1500ma batteries with no overheating. Build quality is a bit less than the Nikon charger but overall is actually very good. The one star ding was the battery tray. Looks like it can detach to reuse the charging circuit for other batteries styles and detaches a bit too easily. Not a problem but didn't need to find this out. Ordered a second unit for my other camera bag and well worth the reasonable price.

The charger began to spark and smoke 10 minutes after I had plugged it in. Thankfully I was sitting next to it and was able to salvage the battery.

This is one of those purchases I love/hate. The product is fantastic and works well - no issues whatsoever. I am just bummed that Nikon didn't think this design was superior to begin with so I had to spend extra money to get good function AND good form in my camera bag.

I bought my Nikon D90 camera and it came with a charger. Sadly when we moved the charger got lost. I needed a new one at an affordable price. I love this charger because it is extremely compact and fits in my camera bag. It comes with me everywhere so I don't worry about misplacing it at all. It charges the batteries just fine and comes with an attachment for a car charger and out of the country attachment plug. I have no complaints.

I have a problem with misplacing chargers (for everything) so this is a great way to avoid that...just leave it in the car. It is small enough to keep in the glovebox, back pocket in a seat or even a change compartment. I love that you can use it in a car adapter AND a normal electrical outlet so when I misplace my home charger, I always know where to find an extra.

Item shipped very quickly and is nicely compact with folding prongs. Seems to charge fairly quickly. The car adapter is a plus, but I have not needed to use it.

Care must be used to make certain the battery stays engaged, it is not as snug as I would like. The LED charge indicator is minimal, a more sophisticated indicator would be nice.
