Nikon Large Leather Case for Nikon S series Digital Camera

The case is exactly the size of the camera itself...essentially a leather skin for it.

It has a belt loop, and a magnetically clamped lid, which works fine.

I got it because my old camera kept falling out of my shirt pocket when I bent over (I do inspections)...but I didn't want to lug around a camera bag for the camera. This way...it holds the camera so I still have one handed access to it, and its better than the camera getting banged up in my pants pockets, etc.

An outside pouch for a spare battery might have been nice, but, other than that, its what I needed.

There's another case that looks just like it in the web descriptions....but, that one is too small to fit the larger coolpix cameras.

This case is being offered as part of a package with the Nikon S 8000. Great case, good workmanship and attractive styling. Only problem is that it is not made for the S 8000. It will not latch with the camera inside. The spec does not list the S8000 as one of the supported cameras so the error must be in Amazon. Hopefully Amazon will correct the misleading information.

My Nikon S610 fits nicely in it, no signs of it falling out. Nice Leather casing! If you have the newer models like the S610, S710, S60, this is the case for you. Don't get the other smaller Nikon S case since its for the older models like S600, S700, S52.

Only complaint is that its a belt loop on the back inside of a clip. Would be easier to put on if it was a clip, but the belt loop does make it safer.

This is the one everyone is complaining that don't fit the newer models.

I just received the "Nikon Large Leather Case for S Series Digital Camera" and I am very pleased with the result. My S550 fits into this case with room to spare for inclusion of extra battery, extra memory cards etc. The case is attractive black leather, lined with a soft velour interior to protect the LCD screen and lens cover. The wrist strap can hang out the top of either side. The front cover closes via a magnet, not a snap.

This is the right one!

Leather case not large enough fot the S-8000 the smaller thinner models probably fit well.
This should be known before suggesting this case for sale witht the S-800. Case is too tight and wears color on the camera.

Nice product and I'm sure it would be fine for whatever Coolpix fits into this case . . . but it sure isn't meant for the Coolpix S8000. While the camera fits into the case just fine, the flap cannot be closed. It's too bad that this particular case is being shown as an accessory for the S8000.

Product isn't but 3 months old and the bottom has fell apart!!! This a very poor made item.

The description of this case says it fits Nikon S series cameras but the S8100 WILL NOT fit in it. Also, there is no extra storage space for extra batteries or memory cards.

Even though the case looks like it is well constructed and would last a long time it will not fit all 'S' series cameras. I have an S8100 and try as I might it was a extremely tight fit and once it was in you could barely get it out.

Since this shows up as a recommended case for the S8000, warning: it does not fit (and is not even listed on the box as a valid camera for this case). They did accept a return though.
