A must-have for big-game hunters, the Nikon Monarch 3-12x42SF riflescope sets the standard for scope performance. The riflescope offers such features as a one-piece, 1-inch main body tube; a creative Eyebox design with a huge ocular that provides a 4x magnification range and 4 inches of constant eye relief without sacrificing the field of view; an ultra ClearCoat system for 95 percent light transmission; and fully multicoated, super-high-performance lenses. After the lenses are cut and polished, Nikon coats them with multiple layers of anti-reflective compounds. The compounds serve to boost light transmission, improve contrast (to pull game out of its surroundings), deliver true color rendition and flare-free viewing, and enhance the overall image quality. The scope's BDC reticle, meanwhile, is perhaps the most compelling feature, as its trajectory-compensating system is designed and calibrated to provide fast, simple aiming points for various shot distances. The unique system integrates a series of small "ballistic circles" to produce an unobstructed view of the target.

In addition, the riflescope is prepared for years of reliable service thanks to its 100-percent waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof housing. The scope is O-ring sealed, oxygen purged, and nitrogen filled to prevent fogging, while the waterproof performance is guaranteed, even with the windage and elevation caps off. Once again Amazon has been great delivered ahead of time and in prefect condition. I priced this scope at many different places online and local the price could not be beat and with no taxes or shipping it made it a great deal. As for the scope nikon makes a great scope and for the price it can't be beat. I now have 3 of these scopes one mounted on a rem 700 300 win mag, also on a rem 700 22-250 and on a rem 770 30-06 they all work great super clear and with Nikon onspot program makes long shots really easy to figure out. Don't think you can find a better scope for the price or a better place to buy it than Amazon.

Love it!! It is a fantastic scope. The BDC works well too! Dead on!!

I considered purchasing a Vortex or Leupold of comparable glass and features. However, this one seemed to be brighter and slightly crisper and clearer in the store. It certainly beat the price for a compatible Leupold.

Way cheaper here than at Cabela's, Bass Pro, or your local retail store too!!

I am using this scope on a 270 Win for long range shooting of caribou in Alaska. With the BDC reticle and side focus this is a great combination. A 50mm objective would be a little large for the Tikka rifle I am using. This is a Nikon so it has bright optics and a sharp image.
