I purchased the Zeiss Victory 10x25 and the Nikon Premier LX-L 10x25 so I can tell which one I liked more. I kept the Nikon. Reasons: Made in Japan vs. Made in Hungary. The Nikon comes in real high quality leather case. Zeiss comes in a vinyl. The Nikon has more solid feel, smoother focus. Both feel good and easy to work with. Brightness is very similar. Both boost air tight optics and hi-tech lens coatings. The Zeiss is a little lighter, but - the Nikon is SHARPER. Took them both on a trip to the Grand Canyon so I could explore the binoculars' qualities in probably the best place on Earth to do it. IMHO the Nikon beats the Zeiss. Nikon is cheaper too. So it was no brainer.

These binoculars are as small as opera glasses and weigh about the same, but they have a solid, trustworthy density about them.
Their optics are crystal like and as for ease of use, I can easily find and focus on circling hawks with these little beauties. Years ago I had a pair of Trinovid binoculars. These Nikons are so much easier to use and so much sharper, there's no comparison.

I have used these binoculars in the Amazon jungle, the Galapagos Islands, at a political rally, and several Spurs games. I find them perfect for me because they are a compromise of size and magnification. I don't like to carry heavy binoculars and usually opt to leave them behind. These are light enough to be taken along and powerful enough to be beneficial in the diverse situations I listed above.

I have been a Nikon fan all my life, and I was not disappointed with these binoculars. These binoculars blew me away. Wonderful, amazing optical quality. So compact and light. I know I will cherish this instrument for the rest of my life. Nikon, thankyou, once again.

After a trip to Costa Rica a few years ago, I suffered serious envy from my friend's Leica compact binoculars. I had a set of compact Nikon Travelite binoculars (about $100) which were not even close in quality.
The Leica compact binoculars did suffer one flaw: a very small fussy exit pupil that make it difficult to get the subject in view quickly and reliably; a must for birding. In addition, the Nikon Travelite Binoculars were my second set of the exact same binoculars, since the first one (and then the second one too) were ruined by exposure to water and were more expensive to repair than buy new. Not a great investment. I decided this time to invest in a pair of binoculars of higher quality that would last, and also offer joy in the usage of them for birding. The Nikon Premiers seem to have a much larger exit pupil, and offer at least equal optical clarity edge to edge. They are great binoculars and very easy/fast to use. They are light, waterproof, small but well made and durable. They have a 25 year warranty (or is it 15?) that tells you they are not disposable. Highly recommended.

I bought the Nikon Premier LX-L 10x25 for a trip to Africa. Most of my traveling companions purchased a different brand with a 10x42 power. Their binoculars were heavier and more bulky which resulted in leaving them at camp most of the time. I put mine in my pocket and took them everywhere. The difference in power was hardly noticeable and dusk and evening clarity was outstanding. I am very satisfied with this product.
