These are the original Nikon batteries. Best of all is the price which was less than half of what I paid when I bought one with the camera.

What can I say.... the 8800 is a great camera and this is a
great battery for it.

Easy and fast to charge... yet slow to discharge....
you can't want anymore than that...

...other than the fact Amazon has it for the best price around.

I buy a lot of products from Amazon, they stand behind their company with no nonsense consumer oriented policies...
and they stand behind their sales.

This new generation battery Nikon has brought out for the battery hog digital cameras is a great improvement over my last battery I purchased for my Nikon Coolpix 4500.
Good to see they can up the battery storage ability of their top line as well as medium line cameras.

I'm very pleased with my order of the Nikon battery and it arrived much faster than I'd expected, thank you.

For several years only non-Nikon batteries seemed available. I've tried two non-Nikon "replacement" batteries, with their chargers, but neither has been able to hold a charge at all, whether charge was attempted with the off-brand charger or the original Nikon charger. So my Nikon camera was a brick for a few years because of battery unavailability.

This battery, from Nikon, actually works, and now I have my camera back.

Didn't give it 5 stars because (1) Original battery life wasn't many years (2) The competitive products all seem to be fails, yet nobody was making a Nikon replacement available.

I expect will be spending another $45 each few years and should Nikon some time in the future quit making this battery for good, my nice camera would become a brick again.

BE sure to purchase the actual EN-EL7 from Nikon. Most others do not last as 3/4 as long.

I bought this battery as an additional one for my Nikon CP 8800 and it works splendidly. It's a battery by Nikon... It just works...

I was preparing for a trip to the Arctic tundra at Hudson Bay and decided to buy another backup battery because of the expected operating life in those extreme conditions. I already had four batteries, with a lot of use on them.

Turns out that I didn't need the extra backup. These batteries are wonderful, and like the other brands bunny, they keep going and going.

The batter works wonderful, and it was shipped fast. I received in plenty of time for my trip. I would purchase from this vendor any time.
