Nikon Replacement D90 digital camera charger

I managed to loose my original charger, and was looking for a temporary replacement. I was honestly surprised on the build quality, its kind of flimsy feeling, thus far no issues. Never took the time to see how long it takes to charge a battery but it seems quick. Because I am unable to find the original (now many months after I lost it) I use this as my main charger!

I bought this because I lost my original charger. Came with no instructions, but it's pretty self explanatory. Plugged it into the wall, slid in my battery and in no time it was fully charged...

However, I just tried charging my battery again (about a week later from the original charge) and within an hour there was an electrical burning smell. I immediately went to look at the charger and sure enough there were scorch marks on my wall outlet. I unplugged it right away and checked the battery and it was almost fully charged again with no damage. No damage to the charger either, it was just very hot.

Does it do the job? Yes. But keep an eye on it. You don't want your house burning down.

I bought this after reading the two previous reviews, I figured if they thought the item works it might worth getting it. I'm sorry to say, I should of just pocket the extra changes I had and not waste my time. The charger is definitely has poor quality and my battery does not even stay on. It is cheaply made and you get what you paid for, my advise is don't make the same mistake I made and just pay the extra dollars to get something reliable. I did contacted the seller to get a refund, but then I would have to mail this back and pay for additional shipping cost, so in the end I will be tossing it in the trash can and call it a day.
