We bought this camera for my Wife's birthday, as she longed for the days of point-and-shoot cameras, and hated all our big, bulky, confusing Nikons. She hinted at what she wanted and after spending lots of time enjoyably reviewing all the models on Nikon's page, we chose this one for her for the extra-large preview screen and the touch screen functions. This seller had a great deal including a case and a 2 Gig card exactly in the color my wife wanted (Plum) and it was in stock. For the cost of the camera alone in some stores, they saved us a trip to the mall and delivered it within 2 days as promised. Best of all, it's exactly what my wife wanted, is simple and small enough, but takes an incredibly nice and clear photo, and is ready to take another one instantly. The memory card fits into our laptop and downloads the pictures quickly, we put them onto a flash drive, and can look at them anywhere!!! The card holds over 500 pictures, and the camera has intuitive functions- just enough for my wife to explore at her leisure. Otherwise she just turns it on, points and shoots, and shoots, and shoots!!!! Great colors also!!! Highly recommended!!! We'd use this seller again gladly!

I ordered it with free 2-day delivery on May 4th and received the item on the moring of May 6th, a really excellent shipping experience by Amazon. Unfortunately, the camera has provided an unpleasant experience.

The instruction manual indcates to plug the charger with a USB cable to the camera first before plugging it to the outlet. I did that and the camera wouldn't charge. I called customer service and they said: plug the charger into an outlet, plug the USB into the charger, and finally plug the other end of USB into camera to charge. That solved the problem. I had to follow these three steps to charge the camera. Ok so it was charging, but it was taking forever to charge. After three hours the charging indicator was still going. The battery is only 740mah; so techincally it souldn't take more than 2 hours to charge.

I took over 90 photos and recorded several video clips in HD. Over 40% of photos were either slightly or very blurred. This camera does not have optical image stablization; it has the electronic vibration reduction and a few other methods to offset shaking, but they don't seem to do anything for me. The image quailty when taken with the 1x-4x zoom is very likely to blur. I tried to hold the camera very steady; but still almost half of time the image came out blurred after using zoom's.

The flash was set to auto, but even in a well illuminated office building, the flash still went off; sometimes causing the image to get "yellow-tinted". I ended up turning off the flash. About half of time, the flash does help to obtain more clear, sharper image.

The camera's HD video was no match for my Flip HD. It does have less shaking then my Flip HD, but still the poor, grainy video quaility in a well lighted office building was just not good.

The touch screen is responsive, fun, and intuitive to use with a stylus. It does not respond well with my finger nail.

I wanted to like this camera for its price and features. Sadly, I am going to return this camera.

I also had a hard time with charging.....Plugged in last night at 1am..Still blinking at 10am the next morning.....I unplugged the wire and started over again....Boom!!! No light.......I think you should plug wire into wall outlet first.....seem to fix problem.....update....Took some really good pics in NYC...No distortion...You also have a digital zoom....But that can distort a little....The camera is very small and I use my Exilim case....Slip in pants pocket or jacket.....It gets the job done! I would rather have the camera in my pocket and not leave on some table or armchair.......Got a really good 4gb class 6 SDHC card..Sandisk Ultra..FAST....The ON -OFF switch can be hard to see........I would turn off Digital zoom for most shooting....This can cause those blur pics.......The factory setting is on....
