I have been trying to figure out how to use my SLR camera for a while and this book was the perfect partner to my owners manual to figure out all the features and try them out.

The book gives you examples to try with your camera.

Good book for beginners but over half the book is padded with aperture/shutter reminders... essentially the same thing over and over and over. I suppose that's great to get the concept burned into your brain but it gets old really quick for people wanting more content. If you got this book free with a DSLR purchase, great, otherwise I would save your money for a better book that covers the same material plus more.

for a few bucks more you can get a book that will help you way more. I picked it up because it was $3 but only skimmed through it. very bacic, but semi helpful to anyone that has never had a class of read a more in depth book on the topic. Nikon knows thats up tho so it is a great starters book
