Product Description

From the Manufacturer

Nikon has introduced an upgrade of the successful Travelite binocular series, popular with hikers, birders, and nature enthusiasts. The new Travelite V series binoculars incorporate several new features designed to make them more user-friendly while enhancing optical performance. Each model in the Travelite series has 25mm objective lenses for maximum light gathering. Close focus distance is under 14 feet for all models. The field-of-view range is 294 feet for this 9x25 model.

The Nikon Travelite V binoculars utilize precision-ground, multicoated optics, and high-index BaK4 prisms for true color rendition, maximum sharpness, and enhanced light transmission. They also use aspherical eyepiece lenses that provide a very flat viewing field and markedly improved edge-to-edge sharpness over many conventional lenses.

A new, ergonomically contoured, carbon-fiber body makes the Travelite V easy to use for long viewing sessions without physical fatigue. The lightweight body encases a rugged all-metal chassis and is covered with a durable black rubber armor that provides added shock resistance and a positive grip in slippery conditions. It also features large, conveniently located central focus knobs and clicking diopters.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nikon Travelite: Excellent Value, September 29, 2004

I am very impressed with the Travelite series. These small binoculars are great for kids and travel. These are the only binoculars (for the price) to have if you where glasses because of there long eye relief. Since I stopped taking off my glasses every time I wanted to see through binoculars I use my binoculars more often. These are clean crisp plastic optics that are super light weight and easy on the eyes. I have purchased a second set of these and found the 10X a little to much magnification and like the 8x better. For kids the 8x is much easier for them to find targets quickly especially when birding. I have tried the zoom models in the store and the images are not a sharp as the standard models.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good mini-binoc's, small FOV, July 6, 2005
This review is from: Nikon Travelite V 9x25 Binocular (Electronics)
Very good binoculars, very pleased. I knew going in that as power increases, the ability to hold the binoculars steady becomes increasingly difficult. These aren't bad. Field of view is narrow, that's only complaint and with the otherwise product quality, it's minor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lightweight Champion, June 29, 2006

Purchased for a trip to St.Louis. Could clearly see players in the dugout from upper deck. Carrying pouch is lightweight and easily sits on your belt. The perfect traveler for me.
