Only half of this product is awesome and I'm referring to the Nikwax tech wash. The tech wash is pretty potent, so add half the suggested amount then add more if needed. The softshell proof that comes with this requires you to mix with water and to submerge your entire article of clothing into the mixture. I went to YouTube and discovered that the softshell proof comes in a pre-mixed spray bottle and it's much easier to use! After you wash with tech wash, simply ring all your articles, then spray the softshell proof on the exterior and let hang dry. This saves water and time.

I'd have to sum up my thoughts on this product with two words: it works!

I've looked at different detergents for technical wear and it came down to Nik-Wax. I've had my softshell jacket (made of Polartec Power Shield) for over 2 years now and it's braved many seasons with rain, snow, you name it. With wear the DWR coating began to reduce and rendered my jacket less effective. I've heard many good things about Nikwax tech wash and softshell proof so I decided to make the investment and its paid off. My jacket is now clean and the DWR coating is now restored (water beads off like CRAZY).

Buy it because it works. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow.

ALSO, I threw in my GORE windstopper gloves into the wash too and now they're completely waterproof! Before it was OK in terms of water repellancy, now they're amazing.

This product delivers what it promises!!
I use it on our ski clothes, and it restores them to almost new! The tech wash REALLY cleans, and the wash-in waterproofing REALLY works. Considering how much Gorte-tex products cost, this product is well worth the $20
maintainence cost.

I've been using this stuff for about 5 years now and I won't buy anything else. There water repellent works awesome, no more soaked pants at the end of the day!

We used this to re-waterproof our liners for our gDiapers and it worked great! What a cheap way to get more life out of the expensive liners!! Very easy to use!
