5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing album.
This is the first album I've heard by GazettE. I've been a listener of visual-kei rock for 6 years, and this group is awesome. They capture a blend of sincere vocals, catchy melodies and clean solos all with a heavy undertone.

From the first track THE END (oxymoronic as it is) as the intro, it's a very cowboyish heavy tune with mumbled vocals and a gun...

1.0 out of 5 stars The album is amazing...but this version is WAY overpriced...
Actually I think overpriced might be an understatement. $98 for a CD/DVD? Never.

I purchased this exact import for $30.

This is the first album I've heard by GazettE. I've been a listener of visual-kei rock for 6 years, and this group is awesome. They capture a blend of sincere vocals, catchy melodies and clean solos all with a heavy undertone.

From the first track THE END (oxymoronic as it is) as the intro, it's a very cowboyish heavy tune with mumbled vocals and a gun chamber clicking in the background. Basically if you listen beyond the music, a game of Russian Roulette is being played. On the 4th click, the bullet fires, ending the song. Artistically this is profound. 4 is an ominous number in Japanese culture and denotes death.

Nausea & Shudder is the 2nd track, and their 1st big single off the album. It's probably the most catchy of all the songs right off the first listen. Their other single Cassis is very different and more laid back.

My top 5 recommendations from NIL are Nausea & Shudder, Taion (The last song), Baretta, and D.L.N., and Shadow VI II I. The entire album itself is very solid, mixing really hard metal elements and hard rock with a little electronic assistance.
