3.0 out of 5 stars Get The CD, Not The LP, September 11, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Nine Decades 1 [Vinyl] (Vinyl)
The tracking for the LP is not well done. I rarely recommend the CD version of anything, but in this case, get the CD. You'll avoid the awkward side-to-side break in the performance, and you will get two tracks, not just the one included on the vinyl.
As for the content? I'm not sure I'd have started a retrospective series with this particular recording. The performance is solid, but the engineering of the recording was wanting, and one does not feel a sense of "being there" while listening. This would have served well later in a series, but not as the opening salvo for it.
