Editorial Reviews

Review

"I think these jazz duets are of the utmost in musical quality and would be a fine addition to any guitarist's library." -- John Pisano, May 1999

Hatfield's exceptional writing particularly shines on "Venezia," a lovely, mid-tempo ballad, and "Juniper Street," a pleasantly melancholy jazz waltz with an especially clever bridge." -- Jim Ohlschmidt, Acoustic Guitar Magazine, March 1999

In addition to the CD [Music for Guitar and Bass], Arthur Circle has published the transcriptions of most tracks from the CD as a separate folio. This is not for the fainthearted as a technique on a par with Ken's is required. . . . It is hoped this book will appeal to the advanced classical guitar student who can use their abilities to play Ken's music and therefore explore the jazz vocabulary and harmonies contained within these pieces. -- Andy MacKenzie, Just Jazz Guitar Magazine, May 1999
