I am a big reader and read all kinds of genre. F. Say's first book is very different from any other books I have ever read. His writing style is amazing. It is full of beautiful prose and vivid description on every single page. You feel like you are part of the scenery. The book is very suspenseful. It makes you wonder what will happen next. Lots of surprises and twists. F. Say has great imagination. Anyone who likes ghosts, supernatural and paranormal will absolutely love this book. It is a page turner.

5.0 out of 5 stars Could not put it down!, August 23, 2009
This review is from: Nine Lives (Paperback)
Nine Lives is part sci-fi, part thriller, part family drama, with a lesson on faith woven throughout. The entire book is riveting and I couldn't put it down. Written in a manner that keeps the reader involved and eager to learn what's next, Frank Say has a winner in his first book. For a man who told me in our interview that he disliked writing in school, he learned his lessons well. While reading Nine Lives, you will cry, laugh, and most of all, wonder just how anyone could come up with a story line that keeps you guessing at every turn of the page.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable read, August 2, 2009
This review is from: Nine Lives (Paperback)
Frank Say has written an interesting, compelling first novel. The search for answers to questions that seem impossible to answer and the situations that arise from that search creates a page turning experience. I personally am looking forward to more literary productions from this author. Recommended read for anyone who is interested in the paranormal and otherworldly adventures.

5.0 out of 5 stars First time author gets it right!, July 12, 2009
This review is from: Nine Lives (Paperback)
This supernatural thriller from first time writer F. Say delivered more than I expected. I expected a decent story, some entertainment, and a twist and turn or two. What I got was a fast read that brings to mind mild reflections of works by Dean Koontz. The story starts off setting the scene with the usual character intros, giving a bit of insight into each person's spiritual beliefs, and proceeds to race along to a wildly visual climax! Mr. Say does a great job of making you "feel" each character's emotions, and experience the happenings as if you were in the very same room! Nice job!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic read by a grassroots author, July 7, 2009
This review is from: Nine Lives (Paperback)
Nine Lives does not fall for many of the tired, cliché story-lines of a typical horror novel--and that is its strength. F. Say has managed to take the idea of immortality and give it a new, engrossing look, while keeping the tension high in this unique psychological thriller. At just under 300 pages, Nine Lives is a fast-paced summer read for anyone looking for a new twist in a genre requiring new life-blood.
