1.0 out of 5 stars I actually hated the hero, July 16, 1998

This review is from: Nine Months (Harlequin 36 Hours, No 10) (Paperback)
It started out great. But once Jared found out Paige was expecting his child he insisted they marry. He didn't want to marry her and acted like he was making a surpreme safrice by doing so. She refused to marry him, but he wouldn't take no for an answer! He tried his best to change her into the kind of wife he wanted. He bought stuff for her and the baby, not bothering to ask her what she liked. She wanted a career and he acted as if it would be okay as long as it was a hobby or something. He didn't take her seriously and wanted her to be something she was not. After all this, for some reason, Paige decided to marry him. I have no idea why. Maybe she was hoping he's come to his senses and realize that he loved her just the way she was. She certainly loved him, but he treated her so badly...

5.0 out of 5 stars I read this differently...., October 16, 2000

I thought this was one of the best of the 36-Hours series. Yes, Jared starts out rough around the edges and pig-headed, but that's the point. He comes around in the end---he learns about what love and marriage mean. I thought it was wonderful and have recommended it highly to others who have agreed.
