Nine Months With Thomas,
By
This review is from: Nine Months With Thomas (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
This great story is about Meghan Howard a Social Worker who has lost her job due to downsizing. Her savings are running low and she is in dire need of a job soon. She walks into a business to get directions and it is a Surrogacy Clinic. A couple there think that she is there to apply but she turns them down. Meghan raised her sister after her parents died and has no desire to become a mother. Businessman Thomas Worthington-Yates lost his wife and unborn child and his in-laws suggest to him to think about surrogacy and implant the last egg that his wife provided before she died. She was their only child and they want a grandchild and a part of her to live on. He is against it but still meets with Meghan thinking that she had agreed to do it. She told him that she had not and he leaves. She later decides to do it but under certain conditions. She wants them to marry because her parents were not married and she felt left out of a lot of things that Father's do with their daughters. She also wants a job so she can go back to school and get her Masters degree. No love was in the equation for either of them at first anyway. This ends up being more than a business propostion which makes the ending very emotional. Great story and you won't be able to put this book down to find out how this ends.

A HEARTWARMING concept...the characters are endearing...the storyline is ENGAGING, and also provides informative tidbits about some of the controversy surrounding the issue of surrogacy...I enjoy the struggles that Thomas and Meghan endure while attempting to resist their HEATED attraction...Ms. Hailstock crafts a SWEET and touching romantic tale.

This novel kept my interest from the very beginning, I found it to be sweet but with a little hint of sexy. I really enjoyed this romance novel. It was sort of like watching a hallmark special but in book form. This author never lets you down in her books, she always keeps you interested.

I read this book in one day. It held my attention from start to finish. The main characters of the story Meghan and Thomas entered into a contract but the unexpected happened. If you want to know what that was then buy this book. It wasn't sexually explicit and I appreciated that!!

This was the first time I had read anything by Ms. Hailstock it was a most entertaining story so much so I could not put it down. The characters are real and likeable, the plot believable. I so enjoyed the story I read it twice enjoying it more the second time. All of Ms. Hailstock's books should be on kindle.

Thomas Worthington-Yates is a workaholic who lost his wife and unborn child in a car accident.
Meghan Howard is a unemployed social-worker. They come together after Thomas' in-law mistaken Meghan as a surrogate. Nina and Adam (Thomas' in-laws) come up with the idea for Meghan to become the surrogate mother to their deceased daughter's embryo and approach Thomas with the idea. Thomas sees this as his last opportunity to become a father, but is reluctant to agree. Once he warms to the idea, he must convince Meghan to agree to carry the embryo. Realizing this is an opportunity for her to go back to college, Meghan agrees, but she has a few conditions of her own. She will carry the baby only, if Thomas agrees to marry her. Since the marriage will be in name only and will only last until the baby is born, Thomas agrees. What starts out as a business arrangement soon becomes more, but will it be enough for Thomas and Meghan to build a lifetime together? This is a sweet and enjoyable story. I definitely recommend it.

Shirley gives you people you know an learn to like. They have problems to face just like everybody else. I just wish some of my problems were solvable in 400 pages or less.

This book was a quick, easy and enjoyable read, but lacked fireworks. However, I still enjoyed the book and look forward to reading more books by this author.
