A beautiful collection of poems.,

At the end of the millennium, many are concerned with the elegaic. A.V. Christie has put together a collection of poems that holds at its core a loss, and the most amazing thing about this collection is the fact that loss never becomes a spectacle, something willfully sentimental. The emotions we are given are true, not falsified, not high drama, and for that, they are all the more moving. A beautiful collection of poems. I suspect we will be seeing much more of Ms. Christie's work in the future.
NINE SKIES was selected by Sandra McPherson as one of the winning manuscripts in The National Poetry Series.
