5.0 out of 5 stars A must-have for the modern mind, October 22, 2000
By

This review is from: Nine Stellar Pieces (Audio CD)
In Nine Stellar pieces, Robert Martin turns on the mind's eye by utilizing the artistic skills of stellar musicians as they raise their wind instruments to the stars. Each composition gives the listener insight into wonderous symbolism ranging from a shaft of wheat in a maiden's hand to the trundling of a bear in the forest. I love the symmetry, the surprises and the sensuousness that this music inspires. This is a must-have for the modern mind and any music lover.

I purchased this CD by accident (it's a long story), but what a great sound! I cannot describe it, but the music is very exciting and the instruments sound great.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's stellar, June 27, 2002

This review is from: Nine Stellar Pieces (Audio CD)
A very creative collection of well integrated pieces. Each of the 9 parts has a unique sound, set apart from the others by the use of different wind instruments, but all fit together brilliantly due to recurrent themes laced throughout.

Another great recording from Furious Artisans.
