J.D. Salinger as a storyteller,
By Reader "cvrcak1" (Boca Raton, FL) - See all my reviews J. D. Salinger's genius is being able to explain state of mind of the emotionally unstable protagonists in his stories. Most of his characters from these stories are some sort of social misfits. Nevertheless, they are endearing and lovable. I particularly like how author uses children, their way of speaking to others, especially adults, their unlimited imagination and non-judgemental attitude affects people around them. The sensibility of this most wonderful writer is unique. I will read the rest of his published work. J.D. Salinger is sublime. Actually, I am not sure that there are words to describe what a great writer he truly is.

Nine Stories to Live,
By
This review is from: Nine Stories (Paperback)
This book of short stories is very different from J.D. Salinger's previous works, it touches on human emotion and passion. While the stories are beautiful written and well thought it is the last story "Teddy" that catches the greatest human sentiment and feeling of all.
