5.0 out of 5 stars The best indie band out there, April 4, 2000

This review is from: Nines & Sixes (Audio CD)
This is by far the greatest cd I have ever purchased, and I buycds like it's my job. This is the most talented band in the indiecircuit. The drummer plays with odd time signatures a lot of the time, making for some of the most innovative beats you will ever hear. The guitar work is mind boggling, and these guys have some of the best harmony I have ever heard. If you think Jimmy Eat World can harmonize, wait until you hear these guys. I urge you to search your hardest for this cd. Also, they are set to record their second full length album soon. I assure you, that if you like indie and emo, you won't be disappointed. END

5.0 out of 5 stars Best kept secret since the discovery of America!!!, August 25, 1999

Mock Orange is a dynamic group unbeknownst to far too many. This album is the equivalent of a manic-depressive episode. The intensity reaches thrash levels, but maintains its composure. It's breaks express tenderness.I recommend this album to everyone. They are in the highest class of recording artistry along with the likes of At The Drive In and Shudder to Think.

4.0 out of 5 stars Definitely worth owning, July 27, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Nines & Sixes (Audio CD)
I first saw Mock Orange when my band opened for them at a show in California. Nines and Sixes is an incredibly impressive album in its own right, but even more so when viewed for the potential at which it hints. These guys are monstrously talented and craft hook-laden yet challenging music. Standout tracks include "Growing Crooked", "We Work", and especially "All You Have". If you like bands like Braid, The Get Up Kids, and American Football, you will definitely want to own this disc.

4.0 out of 5 stars Some of the most talented music ever written., May 2, 2003
This review is from: Nines & Sixes (Audio CD)
My only problem with this album is that its so short. The vocalizations are superb, the guitar work is amazing, and nothing can top the drumming. This is a CD that is dripping with emo, and, friend, that's a good thing!
