5.0 out of 5 stars Ninety Days
Before reading this book, I had never heard of Sam Yarney. He is Grisham with a Christian face. It's been a long time since I enjoyed a good read of this magnitude. The book is about a British freelance war correspondent who is drawn into a global conspiracy that counts down to a ninety day deadline. 3.0 out of 5 stars A good read from a New voice
Sam Yarney has published two novels. In this one, he is most akin to Frank Peretti, not just in theme but in writing style. In the sequel ("Air Rage") he creates a story reminiscent of the better works of Tom Clancy (without the Tourette's-like smattering of compulsive and useless profanity Clancy currently writes with).

Yarney weaves a great story, with a...

Before reading this book, I had never heard of Sam Yarney. He is Grisham with a Christian face. It's been a long time since I enjoyed a good read of this magnitude. The book is about a British freelance war correspondent who is drawn into a global conspiracy that counts down to a ninety day deadline. It's a fast-paced thriller that drags you all over the world through the world of international banking, politics and spying. It has powerful Chrisitan undertones, without being preachy. The attention to detail was fantastic. I can't wait for the next Sam Yarney novel!

5.0 out of 5 stars I could not put it down..., November 3, 2003

When I saw the line at the bottom of the front cover of "Ninety Days" that read: "Probably the best novel you will read in a long time...", I chuckled and thought - that's stretching it a bit too far!

Then I begun to read and couldn't stop. The book is absolutely fantastic. The characters are 100% believable and the level of research and attention to detail made me wonder whether the whole story was fact disguised as fiction. I've been telling all my friends to get it. They ask me-What is it about? My reply - get it. For me, it has certainly been the best novel I've read in a long time. I'll be surprised if "Ninety Days" doesn't end up on the bestseller lists.

4.0 out of 5 stars A non-believer must move into faith to defeat evil, February 15, 2005

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Ninety Days (Paperback)
Sam Yarney has provided the first and second installments in a new series. One can only presume that he is leading up to the apocalypse, with dark characters, world domination, and prayer falling by the wayside. In 90 days, Yarney's main character, Cyrus Anderson, starts out as a profound non-believer. He and St. Thomas are of the same ilk. A no-nonsense international journalist, Cyrus takes in a stranger who will change not only the direction of his life, but might just take out the entire western world!

In Air Rage, we meet Cyrus and some of his cohorts again. Things have been quiet, but not for long. Cyrus has become a believer and is convicted about the power of prayer. But his rational side still rears its ugly head, making things more difficult.

Both books are fast reads, with adventure, surprise, and a positive message. If you have ever wondered why the end days have not drawn near, read how prayer and faith keep things moving forward.

3.0 out of 5 stars A good read from a New voice, December 21, 2004

In the sequel ("Air Rage") he creates a story reminiscent of the better works of Tom Clancy (without the Tourette's-like smattering of compulsive and useless profanity Clancy currently writes with).

Yarney weaves a great story, with a great point behind it (I can only say "the power of prayer" without giving away too much of the book) and fascinating characters. The book does suffer from some underdeveloped side characters and some atrocious type-setting. Still, I recommend you read this one and the sequel, for the sum is better than the parts!

5.0 out of 5 stars Book Synopsis from Publisher, October 5, 2004
This review is from: Ninety Days (Paperback)
When a series of events place rational-thinking, freelance journalist Cyrus Anderson in the middle of an international conspiracy, a ninety-day countdown is triggered - and it cannot be stopped.
What happens when personal agendas, high finance and international politics clash and blend with the determined prayer of a group of saints?
High drama! Highly entertaining! Spiritually provocative and absolutely gripping! If you have not prayed you will now...

4.0 out of 5 stars Ninety Days was gripping!, July 12, 2004

I thoroughly enjoyed Ninety Days! A book I couldn't put down once I started - a quick paced, action-packed adventure. The characters were enticing and well developed - I could feel what they felt - a little romance too. The characters traveled to all parts of the globe and it was exciting to feel like I was there with all the detailed descriptions of the locations. Ninety Days was also intellectually stimulating through all the mystery and intrigue. I would highly recommend reading Ninety Days! Looking forward to a sequel!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely the BEST!!, February 9, 2004

I heard this book mentioned several months ago and could not find it for sale anywhere. I am new to Sam Yarney also and cannot imagine why it has taken this long for us to find out about him. An absolute page-turner is quite the understatement! I thrive on hard-to-put-down books and this one has moved to the top of the list! I checked the bookcover to ensure it said FICTION. It will improve your prayerlife!
