Ninety-Nine Newfies is a delightful collection of stories about the wonderful Newfoundland Dog. The stories have been written by various individuals who are devoted to Newfoundlands. While the book is specifically about Newfoundland Dogs, any dog lover will be sure to enjoy the book. Readers will experience a myriad of emotions while reading this book. Stories range from humorous, touching to down right heart-wrenching. The book is enjoyable, and a true tribute to the gentle giant, a.k.a. The Newfoundland Dog!!!

This is a must have for any owner or wanna-be owner of a Newf (or any dog for that matter)! I ordered this book since I was soon to get a newfie pup. I am so glad I did. The book is filled with 99 different stories about 99 newfies. They are short reads that touch your heart. I just have to share the stories with whoever is around while I am reading it! It is a fun and inspiring book. Although there are no pictures ( I like to see photos of the dogs) it is still an excellent book.

Pat Seawell has not only done a wonderful job editing this book of Newfoundland dog stories, but she has singlehandedly pulled a large group of people together to the benefit of our beloved breed! She has, with grace, tireless hard work, and tremendous caring, developed a surefire strategy to filter funds into the Newfoundland Dog Health Challenge. I believe that this effort will continue to produce volumes of stories that showcase the antics of our Newfies--and we will cherish them forever.

This book is for anyone who's ever wanted a newfoundland dog! Know what your up against BEFORE you welcome one of these drool slinging, fur dropping, vacumn killing puppers into your life! Of course, with 4 of the stories being about my "grandpuppies", I had to have it on my bookshelf!

This is a collection of real stories about a breed of dog known for sweet dispositions, rescue instincts and a calm demeanor. Rather than focus on the the breed in general as most dog books do, it describes daily life with a Newfoundland, and captures small moments in daily life with delicious detail. I have read it through several times.
