5.0 out of 5 stars Contains brilliant ideas I have not seen elsewhere January 14, 2013
By Tim B
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have read a lot of books on kindle book promotion, internet marketing, and even recently took an online course by a famous "internet marketing guru" specifically on kindle marketing that cost several hundred dollars.

This inexpensive eBook contains multiple BRILLIANT ideas that I have not seen anywhere else, and which are much better than what the "gurus" teach. This is not a rehash of the obvious like "have a good title and description", but contains truly unique and original ideas that will take your Kindle book marketing to the next level. There is one technique in particular that is truly the work of a marketing ninja. Very sneaky and effective, and answers a question I have said "I wish I could do X", and I never would have thought of myself.

I just wish I had a personal assistant, so I could hand them the book, and say "Do everything in this book" lol.

If you have masters the basics (good title, description, cover, etc) and want to take your sales to the next level, get this book now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Talk About Bang for Your Buck! December 28, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I picked up this book with the mindset that if I got one or two tips to help market my books on Kindle, I'd be ahead of the game. What I got was an entire step-by-step marketing strategy, in detail. I've been putting together Kindle techniques from forums and blogs, Facebook and Google+ groups, trying to piece it all together. Tom Corson-Knowles put it all in one place for me, including lists of free Kindle promotion sites, detailed information on reading and leveraging your analytics and even a quirky UK pricing tip. (Who knew?)

Any author who wants to see his book succeed needs to invest in Ninja Book Marketing Strategies, then sit down and IMPLEMENT them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply magnificent! January 10, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Writing a book is the easy part for me. Sharing knowledge and experience comes naturally to me. Besides Kindle Formatting which prevented me from past success (which Tom's other title "The Kindle Formatting Bible" solved for me), Marketing your written content was my other next biggest obstacle.

I am not a born seller. But I also learnt selling and marketing are techniques learnt and not qualities you are born with. This Ninja Marketing Strategies book certainly covered marketing a Kindle book for me...

What did I like most about it?

Step-by-step, truthful and genuine marketing strategies even presented in a humorous way (ninja tactics). I am currently implementing most of these strategies into my own marketing efforts for my book to be released within the next day or two.

Note I mentioned "most" of these strategies and not every single one - why? There simply are too many and I am a little pressurized for time with interviews planned etc which requires the book to be ready sooner than I'd wanted. That is literally how many ways Tom presents you with to market and promote your Kindle books. Tens and tens of ways to market your Kindle books without spending a dime? I mean, come on, really! Who does that?????

Tom does...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not for the experienced April 19, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
While the title says Ninja marketing strategies, if you've ever read more than one book on the subject, you'll find that 6 of the 8 chapters you already know, the rest of the book is all shameless self promotion. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against that, but if you're going to toot your own horn that loudly, you better have something really stellar to sound off about and this wasn't it.

2.0 out of 5 stars a disappointment April 24, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I really thought by clicking on the peek inside the book description, i would be getting a much needed helpful resource. Instead, i kinda feel cheated-the way the author refers you to other sites-even his own that cost money-to market anything-makes me feel like i just shook hands with a sleazy car dealership salesman. Sorry, it was just not the right fit for me. Others may found it useful if they have tons of money to burn-otherwise his suggestions are pretty much useless...dislike highly. do not all...

5.0 out of 5 stars This book contains some cleaver ideas July 26, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
This book contains some cleaver ideas on how to promote and sell more books. One of the aspects I appreciated was all the links to sites that can be beneficial to help achieve those goals. That is a nice touch and gives added value to the book. This is my second book by Tom Corson-Knowles and I have learn some important points that are already paying dividends. A recommended book to anyone serious about writing, publishing, and wanting to get an edge over the competition.

5.0 out of 5 stars If You Write for Kindle, BUY THIS BOOK December 28, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I am a fulltime author with several books on Kindle. I've read many books on marketing for authors, with many of them offering broad and (sometimes) fairly vague advice, i.e. get a blog, join Twitter, etc. This book is not only an exception, but exceptional. Having marketed my books for a long time, it's rare to find a resource that covers - in great detail - the exact steps to take in order to sell more of your books.

The author writes in a straightforward, no B.S. manner, as he covers how to use Amazon's own system to market your books, as well as the coding needed to create stand-out author blurbs at the bottom of your book description. Again, I've read so many of these books and none of them can even come close to the insider (and I mean insider) information that you'll find in this book.

I'm currently in the process of applying each of the steps to my own books. This is a GEM.

You're right. The other day I couldn't get HTML to work in my book description. I think Amazon has now barred the option of using HTML. :(
