I miss the old style platformer games. Games like Ninja Gaiden, Shinobi, Bionic Commando, and Ninja Spirit used to occupy a lot of my gaming time. Ninja Five-O contains the best elements of all those old games. The graphics won't knock your socks off, and the story is simplistic, but N5-O will beat you down if you don't stay on your toes. That's right, it's going to take some skill and practice to succeed at this game. However, the elements that compose this platformer are so well integrated, you won't feel frustrated, just an overwhelming desire to get better. This game is a joy to play. It's a shame that Konami is not marketing it better.

When you first look at Ninja Five-O, you might think it's a silly simple game. However, when you first pop it in and play, you will have a change of heart. Owing a big debt to the Shinobi games of the 16-bit era and the Ninja Gaiden series, you play a ninja cop taking on enemy ninjas and terrorists. Gameplay wise the game is very difficult and challenging, which is perfect for fans of the aforementioned games. The graphics are typical 2-D side scroller fare, but that's not such a bad thing with some nicely animated characters and textures. All in all, Ninja Five-O is a great action game that those who yearn for the days of Shinobi and Ninja Gaiden will love. This is the game that THQ's Revenge of Shinobi for the GBA should have been.

I would look around some other sites. I picked this game up for $15 shipped about a week ago. Try some of the videogame forums and search around. this guy is out of his mind.
