Had the product for about 15 minutes, tried climbing a tree with it. The product broke when I was about 8 feet off the ground. The prongs bent and it slipped off the branch. I only weight about 150 pounds. Huge waste of money. THIS PRODUCT IS NOT SAFE

Item was exactly what I was seeking...I had to remove a huge cypress limb from waist high water. It secured the limb allowing my son and me to inch the limb out to be sawed and carried off.

I bought this grappling hook as part of a costume piece, but after receiving it, I feel like I can actually use it to climb walls or swing over chasms! The hook itself has a good weight to it. Granted, I haven't actually tested it yet, nor would I actually want to. But in a life or death situation, I'm sure it could hold up well. I'm giving this product 4/5 stars because I replaced the rope it came with. I wanted a sturdier rope with a better load weight. But I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
