The cleaning is easy.

It also comes with six air-tight containers with no skid bottoms, which hold up well in the dish washer and keep neatly as a semi-nested tower system.

I was worried when buying this that it would liquify everything (like my nutribullet) it is the greatest chopper I have ever used. I make spinach/avocado guacamole in it all of the time and the spinach is pureed into a perfect consistency (you would never know it was in there). My husband has used it to make a perfect salsa. Pulse only a few times for larger pieces or hold down to make a sauce. The additional storage while I thought was not necessary has become very handy. I am very happy with this purchase!

I'm not a sucker for 'as seen on tv' crap. But this thing? I LOVE IT. I use it to make quick work of chopping(mincing) onion and carrots for salads and sauces. The trick is to 'pulse' the motor, and the tri-blade system does the rest, and does it well. It also comes with six air-tight containers with no skid bottoms, which hold up well in the dish washer and keep neatly as a semi-nested tower system.

I can't believe how useful this is. We thought it may be redundant since we already have a Ninja blender, but its not! The multiple stackable containers really help cut down on food prep time. Things like onions peppers etc can be chopped quickly and stored for multiple meal prep's.

I debated between 3 and 4 stars for this product ultimately giving it the benefit of the doubt since part of my issue with it has more to do with my expectations than the product. I have used the original Ninja food processor for years and have finally worn it out, the bowl is cracking on the bottom and the blade wobbles because the pivot hole has enlarged over time. This looked to be a great deal, and get 5 extra bowls for a few more dollars (I rarely use the pitcher.) The motor unit is lightweight compared to the original with noticeably less torque but the blade speed is comparable. I was hoping the motor units and blades were compatible but they aren't. The bowls are the same for both units.
The chopper has lids that seal tightly and allow for storage with or without the blade installed. The lid is part of the chopping and has a sealable access hole for the motor to attach to the blade. The blade is a one piece unit as opposed to the original design making it easier to clean between different ingredients.
I'll use this for my chopping and put the old unit away for the occasional times I want to use the 48 ounce pitcher it came with.

**11/10/13 Update**
After using this unit a little more it does fine with vegetables and even turns cinnamon sticks into powder effectively enough. It doesn't have the power to turn ice cubes into "snow." The motor unit will work on the bowls without the lids installed but I don't advise it. I was chopping peppers and pieces got lodged in the crevices on the underside of the motor. Then I tried mixing salad dressing. Even with the lid the part of the motor housing that extends through the opening into the bowl was completely coated and had to be rinsed making sure not to get water into the housing.
I still stand by my rating of 4 but I gave the original a 5.

This chopper works exactly as advertised. I like having the six bowls for storage. All bowls and blade clean up really easily.

I have the ninja blender and my small food processor broke. I called that manuf and it would cost upwards of $50 just to replace the blade and the lid, so in that case it was more worth it to buy something else that would work. The 1 yr manuf warranty only covers the motor. I still have the other containers of the ninja blender and use them but the little processor was by far the most useful. This Ninja chopper has a different weaker motor and doesn't do the same kind of quality chop as the blender processor one did, it leaves some bigger pieces, not a uniform chop. But it still works for what I need. What I do like about this chopper set is the mulitple containers and that the lids are flat and much easier to clean than the blender food processor lid which had a bunch of nooks and crannies and impossible to clean. I would chop up some onions and garlic and then you got that scent in those impossible to clean places of the lid, it is not so appealing to do a banana yogurt shake in it later on.

Love this blender. It works well. Very simple design and love that you can store everything in the containers. Great for hummus, guacamole and black bean burgers. The containers are quite small though, so don't plan on using it for large creations.

This thing is perfect for making my soft serves. It processes ice like nobody's business. Better than a big blender.
