I have known Stephen Hayes off and on since 1980. While I doubt he remembers me from Adam <chuckle> I do remember him. There was always a quiet strength around the man, a peace that extended beyond him - I noticed this everytime I was lucky enough to be in a class he attended. This book has some of that philosophy in the pages along with the physical techniques he demonstrates. To be candid, I would love to have seen much more philosophy and less physical, but that is a matter of taste and nothing more. It is a good read, and makes for a nice addition to any martial arts based bookshelf.

A great addition to the martialist's library. Although I don't study Ninjutsu, I respect Sensei Hayes experience and reflections on his art. All martialists can learn from this legend. A must read.

This book is well worth reading even if you practice a martial art that in not related to ninpo. I especially like the chapter on Revitalizing Tradition.

this book reads like a biography, there were pages missing in my copy a Print error, I am sure the seller would have replaced this copy, but I live in Australia & don't want the cost of sending it back. definitely worth reading.
