A GOOD, INEXPENSIVE TEACHING TOOL THAT IS A LOT OF FUN.,
This review is from: Set 3 Ninja Stealth Black Throwing Knives with Nylon Case (Sports)
I am giving these things four stars simply because for the cost (which is not all that much), you pretty well get what you pay for. I have two sets of these knives and the serve my purposes well.
I have been "into" throwing knives since I was a small lad and since I still have a lot of kid in me, I still enjoy the hobby. I have a large, rather soft post in my backyard near the barn that I practice with. These knives are small. They are also black. This creates problems. Unless you are working in a completely bare area it is quite easy to loose the things. I took care of that with a can of bright yellow spray paint on the handles. These little knives are absolutely ideal for the beginner as they ARE NOT SHARP when you receive them. Folks to start with razor sharp knives end up with nasty little cuts no matter how they hold the knife or what technique they try to use at first. Better to be safe while learning before you graduated to the "real thing." The points of these knives do tend to break with hurled into a harder surface so I would suggest you use them on something relatively soft. Due to the lack of sharpness and the low cost of these knives, they are ideal for teaching the grandsons and granddaughters this art. It is a wonderful tool for teaching eye/hand coordination and so much for fun and healthy then having them set in front of a computer game. The primary objective of teaching the beginner is technique and accuracy. These fit that objective perfectly. All in all for the price, these a pretty nifty little knives...as long as you don't expect too much. Don Blankenship The Ozarks

Good Knives, GREAT PRICE!,

Knives are well balanced and easy to throw. The paint tends to chip away easily and the nylon grips on the handles are coming unraveled (though I have beaten them to death as is), but for the price you can't really beat this set of throwing knives! Also, the case is pretty heavy duty and any belt can be eaily threaded through it's belt loop.

They got here in good time and they look great. The string keeps unraveling and I can't throw 'em worth a darn, but they're my first experience at throwing knives, so we'll see.
They hold up pretty well for bouncing off the wall multiple times. I could've done without the "stealth" part when I'm trying to find them in the grass, but I was looking for the cheapest thing out there...

Master, I miss you,

The night sky was filled with the crack of thunder and streaks of lightning the night they came for my master. Alone I sat in the dojo, meditating upon my latest lesson and attempting to find an inner silence. The quiet footfalls on the roof were hidden by the thunder, and all too late was my discovery of them. I ran to my master's room once I heard his screams and I was greeted by a Set of 3 Ninja Stealth Black Throwing Knives being removed from their Nylon Cases. The sheer matte black nature of the set of 3 ninja stealth black throwing knives hid them as they silently flew through the air toward their unsuspecting target of my heart. My ninja training saved me as I dodged each of the set of 3 ninja stealth black throwing knives thrown from their nylon cases. As I recovered, the assassins were gone, leaving only the set of 3 ninja stealth black throwing knives, and their nylon cases.I was too late for my master, but I will forever be in awe of the men that came, and left only their set of 3 ninja stealth black throwing knives, and their nylon cases.

I was trying to decide on a rating for these. They are much, much lighter than I would've liked for throwing, but with a little time on a grinding stone you can put enough of an edge on the entire blade that it basically makes up for it.
One of the nicest aspects of these knives is that although they technically have an edge, it really hasn't seen a sharpening stone at all, which lets you decide where you want the sharpened area to be - point, single edge or double edge. Another nice perk is that although the picture above shows a black cord grip, mine actually came with red, making the knives easier to find. After about 20 minutes throwing I decided to strip apart some yarn and tie a "feather streamer" through the loop of each knife to further facilitate finding them, but the red wrapping was bright enough for the task. Finally, the sheath is that cheap-ish nylon material that's so common for knives these days, but there's a polyester interior that keeps the blades from catching. Not a great product, but again - does its job right out of the box. Great gift for a teenager since the blades are dull enough to prevent most accidental cuts, and too small to really be used for anything but throwing. If you're looking for a blade that can actually be held as a blade, check out Expendables movie throwing Kunai, as they are a full foot long with a handle that can be comfortably gripped.

I was amazed at how fast I got these knives! They were delivered in less than a week. They were a little smaller than I had expected, but they were definitely great quality for the price I paid. They're pretty much indestructible no matter how many times you throw 'em up against a tree, if only I could get them to actually stick into what I'm throwing them at. >_> But all together, I was completely satisfied with these knives and would recommend them to anyone interested in throwing. ^_^

I didn't get what I ordered, I got throwing knives with a flat handle with design holes in it. The ring on the end and the wrap around the handle did not exist on these knives. However they did get here quickly, they were still not the item I ordered.

All in all great starter knives. Sharper than I was expecting(see below). I bought these to replace a set I had to teach friends/family with when playing around. Since they are cheap I don't have to worry about the tips getting broken which if like other cheap sets I have had will happen when used by novice throwers. They are weighted good enough that they are relatively easy to learn on. Like others have said the nylon wraps are sure not to last, I've only put an hour or so of use into mine and they are already feeling like they are coming undone. These knives are sharper than I was expecting. Other reviewers have said they are not sharp which is good for training. When they said this I was expecting a completely dull edge of metal that I needed to file down to a sharp edge. This isn't the case. They do have a sharp knife edge they just aren't as razor sharp as most would like. If others hadn't brought it up I wouldn't have even thought to mention the sharpness since it is sufficient for most applications(targets, soft wood, people, etc)

Nothing amazing. I have seen reviews of this for 3 stars or less. THESE KNIVES ARE UNDER $10 what do these buyers expect, CKRT quality?! Beginner knives to get you started and or allow to test the waters of your interest. Well balanced knives, I have not bent a tip yet. Paint chips but who cares. Sufficient package, sheath is useful enough. Tested on wood and cardboard. Dropped a star off due to the blade nicking, but in reality I will never attempt to slice anything with these.

I purchased these for my fiancée for Christmas, and he loves them. They are exactly as pictured, but a tad bit small for his hands. Nice and sharp. I don't know about the accuracy yet, but they seem to be good throwing knives. For that price, its a great buy!
