5.0 out of 5 stars The next great nintendo accesory!
The transfer pak allows you to take data from a gameboy game and put it into a N64. Currently Mario Golf and Pokemon Stadium accept it. Perfect Dark will allow you to take your picture (with the gameboy camera in the transfer pak) and allow you to take your own features and put them on the character! Although pokemon stadium has one included, you really need two to do...

3.0 out of 5 stars A real pain in the neck!
Alright, so if you want to succeed in Pokémon Stadium, or Pokémon Stadium 2, you'll really need to get a N64 Transfer Pack to transfer your Game Boy Pokémon into your Nintendo 64 game. Great, with this transfer pack you have everything you need to succeed, but look out, this little baby has a lot of flaws. For one thing, it is not very stable, a...

= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Nintendo 64 Transfer Pak (Video Game)
Alright, so if you want to succeed in Pokémon Stadium, or Pokémon Stadium 2, you'll really need to get a N64 Transfer Pack to transfer your Game Boy Pokémon into your Nintendo 64 game. Great, with this transfer pack you have everything you need to succeed, but look out, this little baby has a lot of flaws. For one thing, it is not very stable, a quick move of your controller could lose the connection and if you are in the middle of one of the big Pokémon Stadium battles, that could really make you angry.
It takes several tries to get your Pokémon game pack, your transfer pack and your controller to "synchronize," you may get the pop-up message "There was a problem with the transfer pack" message a lot of times before you finally get it correctly into place and even then, it might quit on you when you least expect it.
This item is very expensive and not very reliable, so you might want to think about getting it used, since it is unlikely that it has suffered any damage as it is pretty durable. Another problem is that very few Game Boy games are compatible with this, if you don't have a GB, then make sure the games you buy are compatible before spending the large ammount of money on them. If your life on Nintendo 64 and Game Boy revolves around Pokémon, then having two transfer packs would take away the need for a Game Boy, because in Pokémon Stadium, you can easily trade Pokémon using two transfer packs and two compatible Pokémon cartriges and you can simply play the game on Nintendo 64 without the need of a Gameboy, however, this advice is for Pokémon-only players only.

In conclusion, the transfer pack is pretty much required to beat Pokémon Stadium (One comes with that game), as well as Pokémon Stadium 2. If you have the sequel but not the original, then you'll probably find yourself in need of your trusted Game Boy Pokémon at some point.

This is great! With it, you can upload stuff from your Gameboy Color games to unlock new things in a compatible N64 game like Pokemon Stadium, Mario Golf, and upcoming Perfect Dark! If you have an N64 and a game compatible you have to get this!

The transfer pack is so cool because you can take yor Game Boy game data and upload it to games on your N64 such as Pokemon Stadium. I dont have much to say except this is a MUST have.

I gotta admit, the first several weeks with the N64 transfer pak brought back so much nostalgia from the my old Pokemon Crystal and Silver versions. This by far made Pokemon Stadium 2 my favorite N64 game to date. However, the transfer pak is not perfect. I have two that are used but run quite fairly. When they work, they're perfect and a blast to use. However, like many N64 games and accessories, it requires a quick blow into the controller or pak itself in order to work. I've never once been able to get both transfer paks working on the first launch up of Pokemon Stadium 2. But it often does not take more than one try. One of my controllers takes a bit more tries, but I think it's due to the controller itself. The Transfer Pak is quite fragile. If i bang it around, the pak stops reading but for casual play involving little movement, it does it's job well. If you HAVE to move your controller around while playing PKMN Stadium 2 (I don't know why you would), then you can have it on your second controller while tossing around your first.

I've never played Mario Golf or Perfect Dark, or even the original PKMN Stadium, but for Pokemon Stadium 2, it opens up so many new opportunities to enhance your gameboy experience as well as the console game's.

With this little gadget you can do ALL KINDS OF STUFF! I got this with Pokemon Stadium and you can you can use your own Pokemon from Red, Blue, and Yellow [sold seperatly] and battle them on the TV screen! How cool is that?! Just don't put Missingno. on there for he can glitch the game. Mew is fine. Worth your money! Though I got mine at Gamestop for 99 cents but if it costed more it would be worth it!

This is a great thing to use if you play pokemon stadium. it stays put all most all of the time and holds your games really well. My only problem with it is if you hold it the wrong way, it hurts your fingers.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Nintendo 64 Transfer Pak (Video Game)
When I got this accessory for my Nintendo 64 and my Pokemon Stadium game, I had a BLAST! With this accessory and Pokemon Stadium, you can:

- Transfer Pokemon from Pokemon RED or Pokemon Blue (EACH SOLD SEPERATELY) to Pokemon Stadium and battle them.
- Play your Pokemon Red or Blue on the big screen!
- And more!
