I just got this on black friday and can barely put it down! They call it ice blue but really it is tiffany blue and the case has a patent finish. It's cute enough to carry in my bag without it obviously being a video game. The case holds three games, the console, and an extra stylus.
The brain age game is surprisingly fun. The daily trainings don't take very long, but there are a lot of sudoku puzzles to pass the time. The voice and handwriting recognition are pretty accurate, and I didn't expect to see them in a console at this price point. That being said, you really can't play this game for more than 30 mins so definitely pick up another game when you get this.
My only complaint with this set are that I don't see any battery indicator. The game just cut out while I was playing. (Correct me if I missed it.) Still, at such a low price, it's a ton of fun (and I'm in my 20's) and really nice looking!

I just bought this item in store and am so happy that I chose this over the red Super Mario edition that just came out in conjunction with this one today. The Brain Age game might not be worth as much $$ as the Super Mario game, but the finish on this DS Lite is the BEST yet. You can't tell by the pictures, or, even the box, but when I took it out, I was shocked, it's GREAT. It's a super light ice blue with this thick clearcoat over the top and it is just bananas cool. WAY cooler than any of the metallics that look neato but kinda scratch a little. The matching ice blue patent carry case has cool (no pun intended, ha) silver zippers and closures. If Tim Gunn played Nintendo DS Lite, he would definitely have this version.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Ultimate Brain Drain, November 30, 2008
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Nintendo DS Lite Limited Edition Ice Blue with Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day! And Carrying Case Bundle (Video Game)
It is hard to believe that the Nintendo DS is going on into its 5th year of making gameplay addictive. While Nintendo had delivered well with getting young gamers know how to touch their way to the stars of Super Mario 64 DS, and roll with the dice on Clubhouse Games, many gamers have really been thrown into originally getting into the DS with the wild and addictive Brain Age. This game not only changed the way we play video games on the Nintendo DS, but it really introduced video games as a assertive teaching tool for older gamers who want to make their brains feel stronger and more focused on speed and sound. Now, for the first time the original brain drain is bundled with the Nintendo DS Lite.

The new Nintendo DS Lite Brain Age bundle pack is the latest in the Nintendo DS bundle packs, and it is well worth the money. The DS Lite is set in a sleek and crisp ice blue color, which resembles the addictive gameplay of Brain Age, and how your brain will actually freeze whener you get stuck in a mental problem playing Brain Age. The bundle pack also takes it a step much further and conviently by adding a secure case where you can store you DS and Brain Age game in a simple color which matches the mood of the blue color of the Nintendo DS Lite with nimble and noble compliments.

As for Brain Age, it is a extreme mental challenge that will surely blow your mind away. the game really offers so much in challenges, as you test your mind to addictive mathematics where you have to show how fast you can solve simple problems like 2+2=4, or how fast and simple you can easily read a paragraph from a simple story. The gameplay is absolutely addictive for the eyes, and in the heart of the game. There are so many challenges ranging from eye contact, into figuring where you rank in a speed race crossing the finish line, all the way to completeing the addict puzzles of Su Doku, a mind-blowing challenge where you have to complete a 9x9 grid of numbers where every number from 1-9 doesn't repeat in the same row, horizontally, vertically, and in smaller 3x3 grid boxes. While the graphics are nothing more than simple on the gameplay, the challenge is wildly addictive, and really drives you into the gameplay.

All in all, while you actually can get both Brain Age and the Nintendo DS LIte seperate at around the exact same price, this bundle pack really comes along once in a lifetime. If you haven't yet owned a Nintendo DS Lite, or if you searching for a video game system for the first time ever, than I absolutely recommend the speed and addictive gameplay of this delightful Nintendo DS Lite Brain Age bundle pack.

5.0 out of 5 stars GORGEOUS COLOR! BRAIN AGE NOT A DEMO GAME!, December 2, 2008
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Nintendo DS Lite Limited Edition Ice Blue with Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day! And Carrying Case Bundle (Video Game)
My husband grabbed this for me as an early Christmas gift. I'm addicted to Brain Age (which is the FULL game!) While visiting my Mom she fell in love too & said she's going to get one. The case it comes with is just to CHA-CHA for words; holds 3 games & an extra stylus. I'm typically a "pink" kinda gal but I have to say this color is just too amazingly beautiful. The images don't do it any justice.

Love it, Love it, LOVE IT!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars User friendly, lots of games to choose from, December 5, 2008
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Nintendo DS Lite Limited Edition Ice Blue with Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day! And Carrying Case Bundle (Video Game)
The Nintendo software is able to understand spoken words, and handwriting. Surprisingly, it also is able to compare your drawings with its own. Pretty powerful software packed into a small gaming device! From what I can tell, Nintendo knows how to make very "smart" games and devices. The user-friendliness of this (and other Nintendo devices like the Wii for that matter) is unmatched by any other systems. The touch screen responsiveness is excellent and VERY precise. They did it right.

There are more games that work with the DS (300+) than any other gaming system, many of which are thankfully NOT the typical violent, gory, testosterone-laden games that are so prevalent. Nintendo obviously listened to their female gamers, and designed wonderful games for them to enjoy too.

What I didn't like:
Have to keep playing the games to unlock more features. For example, the first day I tried the Brain Age game, I was only able to play one or two games in it, but each day as I played, more games showed up. Why can't I just have access to them all from the start? This is annoying.

Brain Age Game is in black and white, when the DS clearly has great color capability. What a waste!

From a parenting standpoint, I didn't care for the Wifi ability to play with 15 other gamers, but at least it is very limited in range (less than about 26 feet). Still, there should be a way to turn off that feature if you want, especially if there aren't any other DS's in the vicinity.

I'm not sure why they seem to make a big deal out of the outside color of these devices. We all know it's what's inside that counts!

It's still on the pricey side, but they obviously put a lot of thought into the DS/ DS lite and its games. I think it's worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Bundle!!, January 7, 2009
By
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Nintendo DS Lite Limited Edition Ice Blue with Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day! And Carrying Case Bundle (Video Game)
At first I didn't like the idea of the ice blue color and the bulky looking carrying case, but one I started buying additional games and misplacing my stylus, and shopping for other carrying cases I realized how handy the case was and the color. Also the case is very feminine looking and have received a lot of compliments on the case from people not realizing that it housed a game system. It fits comfortably in my 'between small and medium sized' pocket book.

I already knew that I like Brain Age 2 because my coworker brought hers when we went away for 3 weeks of training. I got addicted. I was afraid to get the bundle because I thought that Brain Age 2 had some of the same activities as Brain Age 1 and I knew I wanted to purchase Brain Age 2. But to my surprise the exercises were totally different. I love this bundle and love both Brain Age games and use them frequently; along with Flash Focus (which is better and more fund than I imagined it would be).

Even though these can be somewhat addictive, the game actually only records each activity 1 time per day so that you don't spend so much time trying to perfect a score or time on an activity. So you literally spend a few minutes a day (no more than an hour on all three games) to improve skills you may need anyway. Then they both have Sudoku. That is a whole other story. Very time consuming and addictive to solve puzzles and beat your own time to complete the puzzle. No complaints here!! If you miss Dr. Mario then that surprise will make you happy in Brain Age 2!!

Enough said.

I have never used the Nintendo DS Lite before, but found it to be easier than I expected. The Brain Age game is really interesting and fun. It is a challenge and I think it will be helpful brain training. The case protects it all. I plan on trying other games.

I purchased this Nintendo DS and game for my 4-year-old grandaughter and she is totally in love with it!!! She plays with it constantly. The Brain Age game was too advanced for her so I substituted it with a Dora game and kept the Brain Age for my older kids. My 9, 10 and 11-year-olds all have DS's and they are constantly playing with them! Great purchase!

I received this as an early X-mas gift from my husband and I'm extremely pleased with the Nintendo DS Lite and I looove the color - it's a Tiffany Box Blue and the rest of the accessories compliment it well. I love the ease of use, the stylus pen, the voice recognition all built in. I've been dying to play Brain Age ever since I saw the TV ads for it and it does not disappoint. Any game that allows me to challenge myself and others is great in my book so Brain Age is my perfect match. On the contrary what a couple of the posters said about this game being a DEMO Version is COMPLETELY INCORRECT. This IS the full version of the game and in fact with this full version you can send/beam other nearby DS users the demo version of the game. It says it right in the description of this product. It doesn't make much sense to me that you can send a demo version with a demo version - get it? Anyway, I'm extremely pleased and will be ordering Brain Age 2 along with several other brain games in the very near future!
