this game , if i could put eveything in 1 word , would be "best" because it`s got the gold and silver versions and much more.

examples = you can catch pokemon no. 251 celebi without a gameshark or contest, you can simply find him after a certain point of the game.

if you were interested or puzzled about the unown in gold/silver ,then you can relax because pokemon crystal goes deeper into the mysteries of the unown.

you can choose to be a boy or a girl trainer. you can link to the world wide web with the cell phone link and you can get contest or downloadable pokemon in an instant and you can trade pokemon via cell phone with your friends which means no hassle with the game link.

there are more people that get more involved in the game like a certain person that wants to catch the legendary dog suicune, but not if you catch him first ;)

looks = same as gold/silver

gameplay = much more interesting than gold/silver

sound = same as looks

overall = 5 stars

if you want to buy this game , then you know how to choose good games. i am a 14 year old kid who is crazy about pokemon and i have pokemon crystal so i know what it contains and trust me, you will love it.

Pokemon Crystal is a great game and with a GBC included, this is gonna be fantastic. Pokemon Crystal is just like its predecessors Gold & Silver.

Pros:
- The ability to choose to play as a boy or a girl
- Defending Pokemon perform animations when sent into battle
- New Suicune side-plot
- New Unown side-plot
- Game intro is different from Gold & Silver, and IMO more entertaining

Cons:
- GBC/A only
- Like G/C, only has a certain amount of Pokemon
- Not as good as the upcoming Ruby/Sapphire versions

Overall Crystal is near perfect but still has the same flaws as Gold & Silver versions. I suggest saving money for the Ruby/Sapphire versions coming early 2003.

First off, the reason why I got this was because it was cheaper than buying them separate. That doesn't include the shipping and handling, though. (That's a whole different story.) The gameboy works great. They even include batteries. You better get an AC adapter or something, though, since it'll last longer/better. Now for the game. I don't know if it's the same as G/S, since I dont' own them. I know it sure is fun though. I'm halfway through already, but it's the far as I'll probably get. I didn't know you could catch a Celebi. I thought it was only for the Japanese version, and this is definately not the Japanese version. I heard that if you go to Six Flags on a particular day, you'll be able to upload Celebi straight into your Gameboy. I hope this was a big help to you! Bye! :~<One more thing... Simply the best handheld Pokémon game out there. I just love the battle animations. Unfortunately, being an old style cartidge, it sticks out the top of my Gameboy Advanced which can get a bit annoying. i can't wait for Nintendo to release the Pokémon game for Gameboy Advanced.

buy this game and Game boy color in a bundle to save a lot of money great for kids of all ages

I rate the pokeman crystal bundle a five because it came with a game for $79.99 the game boy by its self is $69.99 plus the kids loved it so I feel it was a good deal.

just to quash thew rumor you cant catch celebi in this version only on the japanese version can you catch celebi

Just wanted to let everyone know, regardless of rumor, you cannot trade Pokemon over the internet or cell phones, and you cannot catch Serebii.

When u buy this u will get a Game boy color Kiwi and a free Pokemon Crystal when u buy the Limited Edition Pokemon Crystal Game Boy Color Bundle if u don't have a game boy color and if u don't have Pokemon Crystal then i sujust u buy this if u like Pokemon Crystal and if u like this Game boy Kiwi and iff u do i also sujust to buy a kiwi game boy worm light and pokemon crystal is good u can do alot of stuff in crystal that u didn't do in Gold & Siver but it is the same but diffent.
