I purchased this case for my 3ds but when I considered purchasing a 3ds XL I wondered if it would fit.

Good News: It Does!!!

Inside the front zipper is a velcro flap where you put the 3ds and accessories (most pictures have a car charger there). In between these two compartments is a cloth divider that is not sewn in but rather velcroed in, so it can be moved to make room for a 3ds XL. If you are looking for a case for your new 3ds XL; this is it.

This case is great whether or not you have a 3ds. It comes with 40 individual spots to hold your games which sold me. No more digging in my case for the right game, or worrying about them falling out. This case solved all my problems. The inside can hold 2 DS systems or a DS and charger. It also has individual slots for styluses and a deep bottom to fit AR cards or anything else one might want (screen protectors, ect). The front has a convenient zipper for chargers to keep them out of the way. It is also very comfortable to hold, and the strap is a good length. I am very happy with this case.

The case is really great except for a small detail but people can get used to or just the fact that it is new. The back zipper where you place the DS games sometimes gets stuck while passing by the strap holder, but that might be because it is new. The rest is awesome. The cool logo in front of the bag. It has a zipper compartment right above the logo for an small accessory, the AR Cards or anything you can think that can fit that you would take with you. After that there is the flap that secures a zipper compartment. In that zipper compartment you have basically a place to put the system and some accessories. It has a place to store 6(six) retractable styluses(or the dsi/ds lite styluses). It also has a place to store 2(two) full size styluses. There is also a compartment that has a divider that is padded really well for the Nintendo 3DS (or DS XL, DSI, or the DS Lite) and another accessory or anything you would like to put in there. After that, compartment (the compartment for the stylus/game system), in the back of the bag there is another zipper compartment for you Nintendo 3DS games or your Nintendo DS games. There are 40(fourty) places for the games. The Elite Transporter Case comes with a carrying handle on top (padded handle) or you can always carry it with the strap that it comes with (which the owner can attach and take off whenever they want.) This bag is GREAT. All Power A products are great.
