These screwdrivers don't cost much, but allow to inspect your Nintendo DS Lite or whatever savely. They save you sending in your DS for simple things as small dirt or bent switches.
TIP: goto youTube and search for DS repair videos. There are some instructional videos that help disassemble and assemble your DS without trying and without applying force, very important.

Toddler inserted a toy disc into the wii! :O Had to open the wii to remove it and these drivers worked perfectly. I almost didn't get this set because it had a Phillips head driver and I already had some but as it turned out, the Phillips included is the size i needed and did not have. If you need to get into your wii, etc, get this set!

and keep your wii away from toddlers! :D

By the time I got to the third tri-wing screw, the screwdriver was stripped to uselessness. Nintendo tightens screws very tightly, and this can't deal with the torque required. Buy something else.

I purchased these screw drivers on March first and they were at my door by March 3rd. Fast shipping and I received a very small bitted precision phillips head screw driver and a tri-wing screw driver.

Purpose: I bought these because I needed a tri-wing to replace my Wii DVD drive.

Background: I'm a computer geek so I've ripped apart literally hundreds of laptops and am used to precision tools. (I worked for a computer company and was certified on all IBM, Toshiba, HP, and Dell laptops

Now, these 2 tools will work perfectly to remove the case from your Wii. The issue that everyone has complained about is when they use the tri-wing screw driver on the 4 screws that hold the dvd drive in place. These 4 screws are torqued down very tight to prevent the dvd drive from vibrating them loose and causing damage. I used a small magnetized flat head screw driver to remove these. In my experience, phillips head screws always strip when they are torqued down tightly. Using a flat head works much better for removing. It also gives you 2 chances to remove the screws if they start to strip. Magnetizing your flat head will make it much easier to put the screws back in. Quality: These are better than my companion tools. Are they perfect? No. I never expect precision screw drivers to last. They get lost, broken, or altered all the time.

Summary: The low rating is mostly from people who used the tri-head on the dvd drive screws. Follow my lead and use a flat head on those screws and you will be just fine.

Just what I needed!

Had to repair my daughter's DS lite and this was the perfect set of tools to get the job done!!!!

When a Nintendo DS stopped powering up after a drop on a hard surface, I had to get the tri-wing screwdriver to open it up. After reading the reviews of a few available options, I chose this one, as it provided a couple other screwdrivers for small screws as well and promised to work for the NDS. NDS was repaired one afternoon, and then I continue to find uses for the other screwdrivers as well - point&shoot digital cameras, calculators, etc.

Keep in mind that you have to be gentle with the screws of the dimension commonly found on small electronic gadgets, otherwise there is a chance that you would end up stripped heads and devices that refuse to open. The screwdrivers came out unscathed from these couple of encounters and the devices, likewise.

It is hard to understand why others have had issues with this set. It is well-made, does its job and is not actually a 'once only' tool. I particularly liked the fact that turning the screws is made easy with the screwdriver heads allowing for movement. The carrying case is a good thought to keep them all in one place.

I purchased this set of tri-wing screwdrivers to fix my broken Wii console. The soft metal of the head was not strong enough to remove the screws I needed to remove to open the Wii case.

Basically, a waste of money.

I got these because I needed to disassemble my Wii because it makes an obnoxious buzzing sound, but I needed a TriWing screwdriver. I buy this item, it arrives, and the triwing breaks on the third screw.

Unbelievable.

Triwing stripped itself and the screws. Was not the right size for the ds lite as stated. Am very disappointed.

Triwing tip chipped and bent on the first screw I tried to remove. Poor quality.
