First off you need to have a PC(XP ONLY!!!) and a hi-speed internet, THATS ALL!!! The setup is sooooo easy,a caveman can do it!!!!!!!!The only thing tat stinks is you can only be 40 ft. away to have a maximum 3/3 connection. If you don't have a Wi-Fi router
and dont have anything compatible with Wi-Fi but the DS, get this.
This USB can ONLY work for the DS and i heard on the internet that it can also be used for the upcoming Nintendo Revolution!!
The only thing you have to look out for is DONT GET THIS ON AMAZON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it can be bought for 35 -40 bucks from Nintendo or bestbuy!

Sure, the "Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector" is great if you don't have a wirelesss rouder, but please, $50? I found this for $30 at the Nintendo site. Why pay overpriced? Even though the price on 'Amazon' is selling it for is high, it's perfect for people who have Wi-Fi compatible games but no rouder. I would have ginev it a 4/5, but the price is too high.

Do not buy the nintendo wifi usb connector on this website. If you go to WWW.NINTENDO.COM they sell the usb connector for $35.00!!!!!!!! very cheap!!

The program itself is quite a disapointment. It's interface was so simplistic you couldn't do anything but "allow" or "stop" access.

I spent an hour working on this until I found on the Nintendo WiFi site the following:

We have identified the following software firewall(s) as being incompatible with the use of the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector. We suggest using another firewall product, if possible:

Zone Alarm Internet Security Suite
Important Note: In order to use the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector, Zone Alarm Internet Security Suit must be completely uninstalled from your computer. Simply disabling (turning off) this program will still not allow a successful connection.

How can this thing not work with the industry's most popular software firewall is beyond me.

Unless I can find a 3rd party adapter that like Zone Alarm, it looks like I'm going to have to build a wireless network.

This is a solid product, your original nds games will be up and running in no time. However, that being said, if you have a M3 or similar development device to run homebrew on your NDS/NDSL the wifi won't work when using a development slot1/2 device. Also, you can only connect nds/wii to this. However, there is a workaround, if you uninstall the nintendo drivers and install asus drivers and set it up properly you can use it as wireless for any device, including homebrew.

I am able to get online with the Wii using this device, but it is very touchy. My connection comes and goes seemingly at will. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I would not recommend this product if you're using the Wii and not the DS. And yes I have disabled the firewall and my regular internet connection works beautifully so that is not the problem.

I bought this USB to use it with my Wii.

It's great. Very user friendly. In less than five minutes, I already got my Wii Online despite of not having a wireless router.

As some people mentioned before, it's a little bit overpriced, but since Wii release this item is on very high demand.

The USB adapter is very easy to install if you have the service provider that works with it and a computer with the recommended minimual specs. However to make it work with the wii disregard the install cd-rom and go to the [...] website to get the latest driver version.

Also the USB adapter doesn't work with some isps such as AOL so call your internet service provider and Nintendo before buying it.

Nor does the USB wifi adapter work with MACS.

The set-up for this item is very quick and simple, almost too easy. Then, just plug it in and Windows XP's Internet Connection Sharing does the rest. I would rate this five stars if the range were a little better - the Nintendo DS only receives a strong signal a few feet away or closer. Thankfully, it comes with a USB extension cord so you can place it closer to your DS even if your computer's USB port is in an out-of-the-way area.

Side note: At the time I wrote this, the only ones available are for $80 or more(!!). That is ridiculous! Get one from [...] store instead for half the price, or wait until this is commercially available, assuming that ever happens.

My UBB connector only lasted a few month. It was a good few months though; but the point is that I was sold this for 3x the price when it first came out.

Next time, I'll just buy myself a wireless modem so I can trade with friends...
