Nintendo Wii Fit - Protective Silicone Cover

In one day of use my Wii fit was starting to get dirty (and covered in cat hair)! This is a great investment for anyone who is planning on wearing shoes while using it or has pets. It's definitely going to extend the life of my board.

As for the other review: I agree it throws off the weight and BMI calculations. I take it off for these tests and then put it back on for regular use. It's not a tight fit (unlike an iPod skin) so putting it on and taking it off are easy.

I have used this product and find it to work just fine . It does not bunch up if you make sure you secure it under the legs of the wii fit . It is not a tight fit .. somewhat loose(not by much ) .. but I have yet to have it bind up under my feet or hinder me in anyway . It protects the wii fit well ..I suggest this to protect your investment . The cover also feels great under my feet .. nice and soft !

I would also like to add that this cover did not change my husbands or my weight in any way , I get the same results with it as without it .

We actually liked the way this felt on our feet (a little softer), but it made me over 8 pounds lighter and my fiance over 5 pounds lighter. It also threw off my test results as well. Bummer - guess I'll have to get my $20 back from BestBuy tomorrow!

I bought this cover in hopes that my hands would not slip when doing the push-up strength exercise. It does its job and does not change your weight as other reviewers have commented. It will also help to keep the board clean which it was already starting to get dirty after only a few hours of use.

First, I got this sent to me in pink and it had nubby footprints on it. Then, I replaced the order (we can't have pink at my house ~ I have a boy and my girls are anti-pink). I even spoke to MadCatz and the gentleman there said they didn't have nubby footprints on any of their designs, but they did have nubby all-over clear so I'm not sure how the photo of a clear smooth surface translates to a nubby foot-printed colored Wii board cover. We can live with the blue; however, my kids don't like the nubs and I'm not too happy that the description and photo do not match the item that arrives. The photo on the box looks like the photo at Amazon, but the item inside is anything but! This kind of problem is why I prefer to shop for some items in person; however, none of our local stores carry Wii board covers so I was stuck.

Amazon needs to write in their description that the item will ship in assorted colors and have nubby footprints and does not match the photo shown or on the box from MadCatz. Somehow, I think MadCatz has a product their techie doesn't know about and is putting them into the box for a clear, smooth silicone cover!

All I can say, the item fits snug and appears that it will be a safe surface, but it sure isn't what I ordered!

Like everyone else, I bought this cover to protect my balance board. So far, it's ok, but it tends to bunch up under my feet when I do some of the yoga poses. I do like the soft feel of it better than the hard plastic balance board, but overall I think that I was doing just as well without it.

This product actually isnt bad at all. The only downfall is that it could bunch up a little bit...but in all honesty that was kind of expected. You can't expect a cover to sit on anything perfectly all the time. And the mat didn't effect mine or my wifes weight at all. Overall I think this is a pretty good product.

Update 6/2/08: I noticed it did chage the weight quite a bit if it is used on the carpet. But when used on a hard surface, it barely if at all changed the results.

The cover works very well to keep you from slipping around on the board. It also allows you to keep the board clean.

I bought this because I wanted to protect the board and place it on BEFORE it was ever used. You have to pay attention to how it is applied, or else like a previous poster your results will not be the same. Now, how it made you weigh less, maybe it was not rebooted?? Not seeming to be from the cover... I weigh the same as my scales and my 34lb son weighs the same as on our scales too.
Make sure its on right and make sure you turn the game off and on after applying it.
If you are barefoot it kinda slides a bit because your feet stick to it, so I wear socks or shoes when I'm on it.

It fits very well (perhaps just a wee bit on the loose side, but I guess that's to put on the sleeve a little bit easier). I think it works wonders on protecting the wii board from getting all the gross germs people's feet carries around and then on the board. You get wipe down (a little hard) the sleeve but that's up to you. It also keeps the dust off the nooks and cranny of the wii board. The silicon grips your feet/hands when you're playing with wii fit so you don't slip as easily as you would if there were no sleeve over the wii board. I recommend it.
