5.0 out of 5 stars Masterful Photography
If you're on the verge of losing your humanity and desire to keep it (I hope you do!) this book will assist in bringing you back to empathy.

Gripping tales that remind you why drugs, particularly heroin, should continue to be illegal.

Exceptional photography and story.

I was very disappointed with this book. It came highly recommended by a fellow photographer so I purchased it sight unseen. I thought every image had the same look. None of the images were powerful. I would think that living with drug addicts you could get some fantastic photos. This book does not portray that to me. The cover was one of the best images.

A beautiful and diverse collection of images - the artist's empathy shines through. I look forward to more of her work.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must have!, April 1, 2009
This review is from: The Ninth Floor (Hardcover)
Dimmock's original perspective helps viewers understand familiar
subject matter (addiction) in a new light. Her depictions make clear and eloquent statements on
the human condition. This book is an invaluable resource for those eager
to learn about developing a coherent voice as a photographer in time when it is more difficult to learn
about documentary photography as its markets have been rapidly shrinking and published
monographs are scarce.
