I've used this stuff off and on for about 8 months. And during the times when I have stopped using it my hair definitely misses it. When I use Nioxin my scalp looks, feels, and is so much more healthy, and my hair has thickened up in areas that appeared to be thinning. The product is pricey, but it works. You really have to use it everyday. I tried using the Sally's beauty supply version of this called Nutri-Ox, but it made my scalp flakey. So whether you're black or white, I recommend you invest. I also don't use the entire system because I like other shampoos and conditioners so all you really need is the scalp treatment

I have been using Nioxin Scalp Treatment #1 for a couple of years. I apply it directly to my hair and scalp after every shampoo and conditioning. Before beginning its use I felt my hair was starting to thin out. Now it appears to be holding nicely.

The price and delivery service on Amazon was excellent!

When I realized I was shedding more than my dog I decided to investigate the products that claimed to encourage hair growth. I'm at the age where every strand matters!! I saw a male friend who seemed to have regrown some of his previously thin locks and asked him "what did you use?". He told me that his hairdresser had recommended the product line of Nioxin, and he tried it with some sucess.

Since it's easy for a man to rub something into his scalp then hit the road, I was concerned about the practicality of this, but gave it a try and purchased the shampoo, conditioner and scalp treatment (No.1 for my hair). After about 4 weeks I noticed my hair was somewhat fuller and actually thicker at my forehead hairline. When I ran out of the scalp treatment I stopped using it all..until about 5 weeks ago when my hair felt thinner, and again I was shedding a lot! So I started the system faithfully and again my hair is better. You have to be very consistent with this and I think the scalp treatment is actually the key. I just rub it into my scalp before I go to bed...it's not greasy or drippy and in the morning my hair looks ready to style. The product has a slight chemical smell which quickly fades and it causes a slight "tingle" to the scalp..but not enough to make me give it up.

I'm a very low maintenance female, but I think this is one product that is worth the price if you are disciplined enough to use it regularly.

I've used it in the past. First got it from a hair dresser. I noticed little peach fuss coming in so I knew it was working. I searched the internet to see if I could find it cheaper than at the hair dressers. Yep, I would order it again and again cause it does work.

This is a wonderful product! It works so well when combined with the whole set of Nioxin products!! It had gotten to the point where there were a couple little bare spots on my head that my friends noticed and I knew I needed help quick, if possible. I read about every product line I could find and decided to go for this one. I started with just the shampoo and conditioner, and although my hair did stop falling out so quick, it did not re-grow. Then I read Amazon comments about all the Nioxin products and found the general consensus was "use them all together". So I did and my hair started to re-grow already after just 2 weeks; just little, but I can feel it. Plus my scalp feels great and my hair has so much more body. I am very happy with this line!!!
By the way, I did read how some people thought this scalp treatment was a waste of money. I think maybe they did not use the vitamins and follicle booster. This scalp treatment does do something to my scalp that makes it more "vital" or something so the rest of the Nioxin products can do their stuff.

But certainly helps thicken hair and helps stop a great majority of hair loss, only downside is, if you stop using ,the benefits cease, would like to know if this causes long term harms as this is HARDLY a natural item.

I started using this product #1 Scalp Treatment spray pump about 2 1/2 months ago. I did not buy any of the other products that go with it. This is doing the job well. I also added Bioin 5000mcg supplement. My hair is not falling out anymore and I have new little tiny hair regrowth. I am faithful on this. I use it every night. I take my supplement EVERY day. You have to give it time. And the Biotin makes your hair every where grow that is the only downside...but good side my eye lashes are long again. But the hair on my legs and eyebrows does grow faster. I have researched everything out there and by far mixing these 2 products saved me. I am 44 and I don't want to be bald. So all you "haters" of this product it just might not work on you. So don't let that discourage others from at least trying. Give it 60 days with the supplement too. Also I don't blow dry, curl, or flat iron my hair. I dye my gray. I also comb my hair with a very thick comb and do it VERY softly and spray a leave in conditioner/detangler in my hair after I shower. I hope this helps. Personally, I have not seen much improvements with Nioxin but i know friends who say they do. I can't really review the product but i can review the price, it is definitely cheaper than buying it in store.

This is an excellent product. My hair is slightly thin with no body and this has helped improve it. I use it every morning with hust a few squirts and run through my hair it it looks like I just had it done. Just great!!

This product Nioxin is excellent. I have been using this product for quite a while now and it works! I will be ordering it again from Amazon.com
